Police Director

I believe that a Police Director for the HPD would help bring the department out of its present crisis. Low morale, high sick leave, many civilian complaints. The Director would serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council and would be more responsible to the community.

The offer was made to him 2 years ago as the police & council conspired to run the last chief out of office. Huge mistake now felt by all included, especially in the promotion department. Some day soon (very soon) they will eliminate the rank of Chief of Police. That has been the plan for a long time, you were just too blind with unjustified anger and playing your macho drunk BS games to see it coming. The current chief of the PD will be the last. Another rank taken away for anyone with aspirations. WAY TO GO. PLAYED AGAIN.

** would be a disaster as Police Director. Remember the time he fired shots at a moving vehicle at Schuyler and Harrison with other officers in the line of fire. The Police would not put up with his antics.

There will be a Police Director as soon as they get the present Chief to retire. He should be someone who has the proper qualifications to do the job. Not another political hack. :P

:P Its only a matter of time(by the end of this year) that the Mayor will ask the Chief of the PD to retire. The Mayor already regrets promoting him and had offered the job to the now retired Captain, who wisely chose retirement because he knew the Mayor would not be behind him when the going gets rough. The Mayor will decide that a Police Director is the way to go and you will be surprised who his choice is. He wants someone who will not back down to the PBA and who will take charge and show leadership, not someone who wants to hide in the tall grass and collect Chief's pay.

Since when do you think you can decide who retires and who does not. Who the **** do you think you are anyway. Chief Trucillo will retire WHEN HE WANTS TO, and not a minute before. The cops making these statements are the few same troublemaker cops in Harrison that should have realized by now that nobody cares about them. They proved it by that cruel slap in the face of not promoting guys after calling them by the title of Sgt. and Lt. when they saw them. They had personal assistant ***-kissers for three years then laughed at the childish way you acted when you got the bad (good for the people in the town) news. The previous chief, who you think you forced-out, left because of a corrupt system where the PBA president and a current Sgt. with whom he was having a thisclose relationship with overturned disciplinary actions. Now the PBA hates the very guy they used to start the trouble. You are lucky to have a job. Don't think for a minute that you have any power. You have ensured by your own actions that you will remain at the rank you are most likely until you retire. That unlimited sick time will also be taken away a few years down the road after they absorb all the accumulated days that officers had. The players have been played. Game over. Now get on your vest and get on the corner. As to certain Supervisors who think you are better than everyone in the small pond, you can inform your wives and girlfriends that you have achieved your highest rank.

Get your facts straight the retired Captain had no support except for the Mayor. When push came to shove, the council recieved so many complaints about the guy and his tactics. That they changed thier minds, just ask them. The Mayor will blame the State and lie again. Who is the suprise going to be? The last Chief, please give me a break! GET YOUR FACTS!

How about bringing Pat Minnutillo back as Police Director. He is well qualified for the job and the PBA boys like him especiallly Marko.

I think you need to get your facts straight. The retired captain was offered an additional job to stay "just ask them". Maybe before you open your mouth YOU should get YOUR facts straight. Oh, and the only complaints they got about him were from the cry babys - PBA.

You get your facts straight. He had the support of the Mayor and the rest of the Council except you( the alleged police chairman) who complained to the newspapers that you were out of the loop. Are you satisfied with what you have now?

HAVE THE STATE APPOINT SOME ONE SUCH WAS THE CASE WITH THE STATE POLICE. SOMEONE UNKNOWN TO ANYONE HERE. THEN DO THE SAME WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. LET'S SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE FLOAT DOWN THE RIVER. HUDSON COUNTY HAS ALWAYS BEEN CORRUPT BUT HARRISON IS GETTING OUT OF HAND WITH THESE PROMOTIONS AND THREATS. I SAY PULL THE PLUG AND ASK THE STATE TO STEP IN!!! ONCE THE STATE STEPS IN CLEAN HOUSE THROUGH OUT THE ADMINSTRATION! SWEEP AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BE PREPARED TO USE A BIG BROOM FOR THE CURRENT HPD CHIEF, HE'S NOT LEAVING SO EASY ESPECIALLY WHEN HE HAS MORE FREEBIES TO COLLECT AND PICS TO TAKE. ALTHOUGH A LIFETIME OF FREE WENDY'S MIGHT DO THE TREAT? OR FREE BAKE GOODS FROM HIS FRIENDS AT FARINHAS MIGHT LURE HIM.THEN AS A BONUS THROW MONTHLY INTERVIEWS WITH ATTRINO TO DISCUSS? WELL? HOT AIR TOPICS WILL SEAL THE DEAL! (BACK IN MY DAY....................., I'M SO GREAT ..............I WEAR YELLOW BECAUSE...........................

 Other Towns in Hudson County have abolished the Chief of Police position and replaced them with directors. W. New York did it after their Chief went to jail for taking over a million dollars in bribes. Weehawken did it and Bayonne and Jersey City have directors.

The present Chief's nickname is **** *** **** ***** ** *** ***** *** **** ** ********

The retired State Police Lt. would not be a choice he would have the mayor and council arrested!!!!!!!! I agree he would be an excellent choice but it will never happen.
