Election Year: ***** Being Denied Tax Abatement

Mayor Santos' opponent raised the question of why ***** Developer was given very lucrative property tax abatements for its properties comparing what ***** go in Kearny versus what he didn't get in Lyndhurst developments.

Mr. Ferreira who is running for Mayor in Kearny apparently has the Mayor and his supporters worried.  Mayor Santos has put a resolution on Town meeting to deny a tax abatement to the developer.  Mayor Santos wants to now look like he is holding the line on Developers.  Unfortunately, Mayor Santos has already given companies owned by *****, tax abatement after tax abatement for multi properties around town.  Property Taxes continue to increase and Mayor Santos is worried that taxpayers have had enough.

Ferreira is running in the Primary on June 8th and so remember to vote if you want accountability in Town Hall.

So the Mayor and Council put on a "horse and pony" show with ***** developer where they have the finance guy say the tax abatement is not necessary and it should be denied.  The ***** developer's attorney then is on the phone at the Council meeting it is suggested that the application for the Tax Abatement be withdraw.  The time to approve the application was coming up and the Mayor was afraid to approve the tax abatement so the developer withrdrew his application to resubmit it after the June election when the heat is off that the Mayor and Council are making regular taxpayers pay for all the services Police and Fire necessary to make money for the developers.  what a f**king horse and pony show. Does the Mayor think we are all stupid?  Vote Mayor Santos out.  Enough is Enough.

Of course the developer wants Mayor Santos to win.  Mayor Santos is as gullible as he was when he bought the plan to reopen the Keegan Landfill.  He believed everything they said and the person  who sold him toxic gas for his community retired Susan Levin Bass from the State and ran away with her pension.  What was it Mayor Santos said.  There would be tax relief to the tune of millions of dollars a year for the property tax payers.  The only problem was his lawyer forgot to put that into the Contract that reopened the landfill and NJMC taken over by NJSEA then took all the money for themselves 17 million a year.  Mayor Santos does not talk about his reopened the landfill in 2005 and he doesn't want to talk about PILOTS for *****, street paving program, snow removal, family and friends on Fire Department and School.  The private school is educating the children.  Open to kids.  BOE schools are closed. Board of Education Member Barbara Cifelli Sherry continues to be his right hand person, she used to be Deputy Mayor.  She fights for him to keep all her family in their jobs whether qualified or not.  Mayor Santos just want to get to retirement time and retire.  He dreams of being a US Senator where he could spend time a Georgetown his alma matter.  He thought if Menendez was found guilty he would be in. He knows if he loses his Mayor's seat he will be taken out of his politcal job as Clerk to the Freeholders and not get his pension. Vote for this Ferreira realtor.  Love to see Santos and his gang lose.  They deserve to lose.
