Remember Global Warming / Climate Change Al Gore? Here's a refresher. Crazy Al is the guy that predicted that all artic ice would be gone by this summer. Al's hoping that no one remembers that prediction because the artic ice is doing juist fine.

The Arctic Ice is not fine. It has declined by approximately ten percent in the past ten years, more quickly than scientists previously anticipated. Satellite images show very clearly what is happening. This is not a joke. Climate change is one of the most serious things humanity has ever encountered, and we've caused it.

Treating it like it is a joke, is disgraceful. You should be ashamed of yourself for behaving like this.

Apparently 2dim doesn't want to discuss the facts, and isn't interested in them. As if we needed more proof of that. Instead, he makes content-free comments on another topic and opens another topic to say the same nothing he says every day. He actually puts some content into his rant against Obama on another topic but he won't follow it up when challenged.

2dim, you claim to be a patriot, yet you refuse to look at reality. How is that being a patriot? And what about the facts shown in these papers from these links?

Nonsense. there is a seasonal change in the amount of ice. You must be getting your info from leftist tree hugger websites.

You didn't open any of the links, did you. Or if you did, you only looked at the first line of the first one. In the NSIDC link, the top of the page discusses seasonal changes but if you scroll down and read the entire page, you'll see "June 2014 compared to previous years." That chart is what shows the approximately 10% decline.

Instead of making childish remarks about leftists and tree huggers, read the data from the scientists. You're dead wrong, and if we don't start to deal with climate change, the whole world will suffer terribly.

Go to Robert Felix's site iceagenow.info.He's not under the government's gun to give the proper story.

The important question is; what is our inept president doing about it? Answer: Nothing.

Word for word from the Fox "news" crazies and their sheeple. Just like Ronny raygun's claim that ketchup was a school lunch substitute for vegetables. Pure lunacy sucked up by low intellect listeners like you.

Next week's forcast calls for temperatures in the 50's and 60's. How can that be, the Loonies claim the earth is heating up ??

What are you babbling about? The Republican-controlled Congress won't let him do anything beyond his executive authority.

What do you think he should do that he isn't doing?

Because, you idiot, climate is not about just one week's weather. Next week's forecasts, which predict temperatures in the 80s in Kearny, neither prove nor disprove climate change. The polar vortex is predicted to cut through the Midwest next week, causing unseasonably cool temperatures in affected areas. That's one week's weather in regions affected by the vortex, and it doesn't change the fact that climate is becoming warmer because of human activity putting excess climate into the atmosphere. Climate is long-term.

Read the data and the scientific literature instead of continually making as ass of yourself.

It's called climate change, not just global warming, because with increased amounts of carbon in the atmosphere, weather patterns are unstable. Long-term, the planet is warming. That's the global warming part. The other aspect of it is instability. We're seeing more extremes, including record-hot summers, record-cold winters, more violent hurricanes like Sandy, and increasing frequency of once-rare events like the polar vortex.

Next week, cold air is going to come into parts of the United States from the Arctic. That doesn't usually happen in the summer. When it does, naturally, those areas affected by the polar vortex will be colder than usual as it passes through. But that's not going to change the long-term, planet-wide trend toward warmer temperatures.

Saying that low temperatures next week means that global warming isn't happening, is like if the Yankees are behind 16-0, then score 2 runs in the eighth, and you say they're winning.

One week's weather is not climate. Next time you're listening to Limbaugh tell you what to think, call in and tell him he's an idiot. In fact, tell him you're both idiots.

So you criticize him for not doing anything, then when asked what you think he should be doing, you prove yet again that you have absolutely nothing to say.

And patriots don't say things like that about the President of the United States.

(2Stupid4Words, a/k/a Patriot): Hey, Red Sox, we just got 2 runs. We're KILLING you!

(Red Sox fan): We have 16 runs against your 2.

(2dim): Loony lefty!

You opened this topic, 2dim, and when you got spanked with the facts, you posted under your second favorite faux name, "Patriot," and made another ridiculous and untrue claim. We all know you got it from Limbaugh. If you don't have the brains to figure out that fatso is laughing all the way to the bank over the millions of dollars he's putting away because idiots like you are too stupid to figure out what he's doing - well, that's not just your problem. It's all of our problem, because when you are ignorant, our country is a little more ignorant.

Even you can understand the difference between climate change, which is a change in weather patterns over a long time, and weather, which is a short-term event, such as cold air coming down from the Arctic and causing a cold spell in parts of the United States. Give it a week or so, it probably will be over; and if it isn't, then scientists will try to figure out what is going on. The polar vortex probably is a result of climate change, because all our weather patterns are more volatile than they used to be. We have never experienced this, so our scientists are figuring it out as more data come in. Every year yields another few slices of data. But the warming trends are undeniable to anyone who looks at the data.

Come on, dude. You opened this topic. Stick around and discuss it in light of the new information that you obviously did not have before. Unless you're deliberately lying.

He's not a real POTUS. He's a muslim impersonator plant. He was elected by blacks and the loony white guilters to bring about the downfall of the U.S.

His goal is to turn the U.S. into a third world nanny state run by muslims under sheria law.

He is the real President of the United States, whether you like it or not. Not only are you being disrespectful to him, you're being disrespectful to the majority of Americans, who elected him twice.

What do you claim he should be doing on climate change that he isn't doing?

For starters, he could stop flying back and forth across the country on a polluting 747, all the while asking you to drive an electric sardine can.

What's the problem, 2dim? Don't want to discuss your own topic? Maybe you're reading the linked sources, or the IPCC report. That could take a long time, especially for you. Not that you're really doing it.

Meanwhile, you made a couple of idiotic remarks because you repeated what Rushbo told you to think, without checking the facts, which of course you never do since the facts don't matter to you.

The facts will matter to our children, who will face a worldwide nightmare if we don't end our addiction to fossil fuels and develop energy technologies from the sun, the wind and the tides. It's all doable, we just have to have the will. And we're going to have to shake loose from the oil companies' stranglehold on public policy. And the ignorance and contemptuousness of people like 2dim.
