Guest Quincy Street
I heard that the Lynn Chevrolet property is going to be Walgreens. There goes Midland Pharmacy. They gave away some variances with parking to bring in a Walgreens Pharmacy as if we needed the traffic. Is it going to be open 24-7 as well. Wouldn't housing be better or a nice park in the middle of town for our kids to play in? They bond for schools why not a park? Or why not a school in the middle of town? Crazy stuff happening in Kearny. Whose watching the store.
Guest guest
No, it's not 24 hours. extended hours during holidays. yes, we could have applied for federal grants and used bonds to build another school. The board of education did not consider it. This is suppose to create jobs. I see small mom & pop stores closing. Adding to the tax rates is not the important thing, keeping Kearny a small town is. Glad to see two board members voted no.
