So now along with the horror stories of people being dropped by their doctors and hospitals, the economy will now be slapped with a huge job loss. This is what happens when the defeatocrats elect an inept socialist community organizer. This is a guy that never held a meaningful job in his life but the white guilters thought that wasn't important because he was black. The Affordable Care Act is pretty much on schedule, it's not going to cost jobs, it's going to get better health care delivered to more people and it's going to work. FYI, gas was $1.78 when Bush left office. Yeah, after and because of the near economic collapse that occurred under Bush in September of 2008. We've been over all of this. Gas prices went over $4.00 per gallon under Bush, then declined precipitously when Bush drove the economy into the ditch. Click the link and look at the chart. When you understand that the economy nearly collapsed in September 2008, it's obvious what happened. $1.78 per gallon was not a stable price, and it happened only because the economy was in huge trouble because of Bush's irresponsible tax give-aways to his rich friends, two unfunded wars, a bubble economy and a redistribution of wealth toward the top, which left the middle class with no means to get us out of the crisis. The point is, gas prices still haven't risen to where they were under Bush before the economy collapsed. Therefore, gas prices are lower than they were under Bush in comparable circumstances, i.e., during periods of stability. The stock market is higher than ever but gas prices are not. I call that a win for the American people. The only reason you don't is that the facts don't matter to you. You completely ignore them. They didn't stay down. As soon as the economy stabilized, they went back up, but still not to their highest levels under Bush. Gas prices reached a high of $4.12 under Bush. The highest under Obama has been $3.96, despite inflation, and now they are around $3.30. Saying Bush should get credit for low gas prices when he left office is like if somebody drives your car into a ditch and totals it, you give them credit because your car isn't using as much gas anymore.
