the real problems we face

While Fox and their minions (like 2stupid4words) babble on endlessly about nothing, and fantasize that the president is going to meet an ignominious fate, our main problems persist.

1. Energy dependence and continued political control by the oil companies, causing us to bleed trillions of dollars overseas when we could invest in new technologies right here in our own country;

2. Climate change that threatens everyone's future;

3. An aging infrastructure that we've neglected for decades but could bring up to date, thereby putting America back to work;

4. A political system corrupted by the wealthiest and biggest corporations;

5. An education system that isn't keeping up with the rest of the world in math and science;

6. A health care system that still relies on and funnels money to private insurance carriers;

7. Widening income inequality, which threatens the middle class and the purchasing power of the American people, further depressing the economy long-term;

8. A corrupt and inadequate regulatory system, which encourages wild speculation and the creation of a paper economy, which inevitably collapses, leaving the American people bail out the crooks who are "too big to let fail";

9. The global economy, which completely changes our politics and our economy, requiring us to come up with new solutions for a world that is completely transformed.

These are the real issues. But day after day and year after year, Fox and Limbaugh and the other corporate shills distract people with non-issues to keep them from focusing on the real issues. Because if the people focused on the real issues, they would demand real change. The corporate shills don't want that, because they are making money hand over fist and like things just as they are. The 99% of us are left to pay the price for their greed. And tens of millions of Americans (like 2stupid24words) who don't know better play right along with the corporate shills who are selling our future. We the people have the power to make our country work again, but it's never going to happen when nearly half the country is getting its "news" from Fox and its politics from Limbaugh.

If 2stupid4words had to comment on each of these issues, what would he say? If his history is any indication, he would make some juvenile remark and imagine he had said something. Imagine if, instead of the daily parade of non-issue topics, all of which say basically the same thing (practically nothing), 2stupid4words addressed these major issues. You might as well ask a donkey to do calculus.

Of course, 2stupid4words doesn't know what to say. They don't talk about these things on Fox, so he hasn't been told what he should think.

The point isn't to insult him. The point is that a large percentage of the country is just like him, which is why we are in such big trouble.

You certainly have a lot of time on your hands. Did it ever occur to you that zerO has done NOTHING about all the problems you've listed ? zerO is long on promises but short on

results. But of course you know that, you just can't get yourself to admit that you voted for the worst president in history. zerOcare is only the latest of his failed ideas that have cost this country billions of wasted dollars. zerOcare will implode in 2014 as more and more hospitals and doctors refuse to get involved. And of course, I'll be here to remind all you white-

guilters of your stupidity that has put this country on the brink of bankruptcy.

As predicted, 2stupid4words had absolutely nothing of value to say. Not one word on any of the issues. And it took him four days!

Congratulations, moron, you just proved the point. When you have nothing to say, you're better off saying nothing than responding, thereby removing all doubt. Your first sentence alone demonstrates that you are indeed an authoritarian who projects his own weaknesses onto others and refuses to consider that maybe - just maybe - he might be wrong about something.

So let's frame it in another way. What is your vision for our country, and the policies needed in these ten areas to get us to where we need to be? Or do you not a vision for our country, except the idiotic ideas you've already posted here? And since Fox hasn't told you how to answer these questions, you don't know what you think - because they haven't told you. Go ahead, moron, prove it again.

You're right that President Obama hasn't done enough. On the other hand, there's not much he could have done with the Tea Party in control of the House. The people you support have blocked everything he has tried to do, including a jobs program for infrastructure improvement. This is about our country, not any particular president or members of Congress. But no matter how many times the issues are put to you, you can never see past "them" versus "us."

Oh, and learn to post properly. All you have to do is hit the "Quote" button to the right of the post you want to comment on. A screen will appear with the quotation inside a box. You put your comments, such as they are, below the box in the white space. It's not hard if you have the intelligence of a three-year-old or better. I fixed it for you the best I could but once you screw it up, the program only allows certain corrections.

Guest A Proud American

The President has tried to get the Congress to do something, anything to get the Country moving forward but they will not do anything to help if it makes Obama look good. They only pass ridiculous Bills that have no chance of getting through the Senate, that is when they are actually in session which is rarely.

Over on the Senate side, the Republican Leadership puts a hold on any bill that the President is in favor of. Just think about how much the shut down of the Government cost the tax payers. 24 Billion plus 2 billion to buy Mc Connells vote. Then Senator Tea Cup claims victory.

We need to vote out these dead beats and elect people who really want to serve the people. But as long as we have people like 2smart and his alter ego Patriot around it won't happen. Almost 400,000 Veterans and many Senior Citizens are going to lose their food stamps. What a great Country they are rooting for. Meanwhile the Koch Brothers, Sheldon Adelsohn, and Rush arelaughing all the way to the bank.
