This is Harrison. Only connected people get jobs. Want to see some real scamming going on? Look into the school system. Only "Alternate Route" relatives need to apply and are automatically hired. Qualified teachers are not considered because they are not related. Never mind passing the PRAXIS, a lot of teachers with political connections don't even know what that is,and could never pass it. A loyal, hardworking DPW guy was passed over for superintendent in favor of ex judges son-in-law, who by the way is already drawing a PVSC pension. The last patronage job was the ASSistant Principal at the high school. I was looking at the co-Principals at the high school and saw what I thought was two made up jobs as Personnel "confidential" secretaries. What the hell is the confidential stand for? You are right though, if Raymond runs again he will win again. These people don't live in Harrison but they have relatives that do and plenty of money to spread around to buy votes. I have to totally agree with this statement, there are multiple abuses going on here by are elected officials . One primary example is the town of Kearny offered to due our Fire dept duties for 2.5 million dollars . Yet , our elected officials prefer to take care of there friends at the cost of the taxpayers in access of 4millon dollars . In addition there responsible fot there health coverage and pension . But let's face it has long as we have these people in office these practices will continue , so get use to it . They will just raise taxes . I know of 2 from the DPW that were good hard working honest guys. Both are now basically financially ruined and their Unemployment ran out long ago.
