Another zerO outrage

Another solar company has been uncovered that went bankrupt after zerO threw millions at them. Beacon

Power suddenly declared bankruptcy after receiving 30 million dollars from zerO, and of course the money is gone, no one knows anything about it.

Are there any Loonys in Kearny that still support this inept, incompetent, socialist community organizer?

Nope, not a single person left to vote for him. We're all going for the stability , clarity and multi-position cult member.

Let me get this straight. Spending millions to get solar power going is incompetence, you say.

So what is funneling trillions of dollars to the oil companies?

Name me a bankrupt oil company, Dummy. Oil companies employ hundreds of thousands of people and are vital to the US economy. Solar energy has been shown to be uneconomical in large scale applications, zerO apparently didn't get the memo.

No, but apparently Romney did and hired the Solyndra lobbyist for his campaign. Tough times for the gop, huh?

If you're going to call people stupid, you should check the facts. Here is the beginning of a list of bankrupt oil companies:

Enron

Caribbean Petroleum Corp.

Marcus Oil

Seahawk

There are many others.

And if you want to talk about waste of taxpayer money, how about Arbusto, the company George Bush ruined before he ruined the American economy. It's easy to make money when the government is giving you all kinds of tax breaks and shelters.

Anyway, your knee-jerk response misses the point. The oil companies are making a fortune at our expense. That's our money, or it was until they took it.

We cannot rely on fossil fuels forever. They are going to run out. We need new technologies to replace them.

And you still haven't answered why no country in the developed world runs its economy the way you want the United States to run ours, Knuckle-Dragger.

Dummy, Enron wasn't an oil co. You're right however that we can't rely on fossil fuels forever. That's why we need to lower tax rates across the board to stimulate the economy. That's how we get private investment to develop alternative energy sources. If you think zerO can do it , you're dilusional.

OK, so we agree that we need to get away from fossil fuels. We've known that for nearly forty years, so why haven't we done it? Lower across-the-board tax rates won't accomplish that. If it did, there would have been a growth in those industries nine years ago when your boy Bush cut taxes. Tax cuts are your answer for everything. If they worked, Bush would be a hero today but instead he's recognized as having brought the economy to the brink of disaster. We didn't need those tax cuts. We need to prepare for the tight times ahead as the population aged. We knew it was coming but instead of doing what we needed, Bush threw his rich friends a party at our expense. You should thank Obama that the unemployment rate is only 9% given the mess he inherited and the complete obstructionism by the Republicans in Congress.

We should end the subsidies and tax breaks for the oil companies, since they're making record profits at our expense. That will help make other sources of energy more competitive but the real answer is a national program to help develop wind, solar, geothermal and other new sources of energy. The country that put men on the moon can make these technologies economical. The problem has been political obstruction because of the power of the oil companies. So if we don't act, other countries are going to beat us to those technologies, and then we'll have even worse problems than we have now.

You still haven't answered why no developed country in the world takes your laissez-faire approach to economics. They don't do it because it doesn't work. Bush proved that it doesn't work and you want us to return to what he did. We know you're not all that bright but this is pretty obvious.

You're delusional. We tried cutting taxes under Bush and it didn't stimulate the economy or generate private investment to develop alternative energy sources. We need technological advancement to make those technologies more competitive. That's where government comes in. If you want to stimulate a particular segment of the economy, you target policy toward stimulating that sector. Right wing ideology didn't get it done under Bush and won't get it done now.

Where do you get the notion that the federal government developes technology?? That's just bogus. Private industry will invest in R & D to develope new technologies if they can envision a profit down the road. Right now they're afraid to make any investments because of the fear of higher taxes making it unprofitable. Until zerO is out of office you won't see any movement in the private sector in R & D and job growth. No matter what everyone is telling him, zerO's inbred socialist agenda cannot conceive of smaller government and taking the chains off the private sector. His nanny state philosphy (ala Greece) is part of his DNA and he's unable to comprehend a nation of free enterprise and small government. And it appears you also are unable to comprehend what our Founding Fathers envisioned.
