For starters:

The line-item-vetoed funding for sexually and physically abused children was restored both through federal and state funds.

You're not saying then, that he didn't cut it, just that others had to go over his head to restore it.

There were teachers, police officers and firefighters laid off but the public outcry, given the overall economic distress residents are feeling, was not great.

The public outcry was caused by Mr. Christie - he accused all public workers of being greedy and implied that their salaries and benefits were not deserved or contributed toward. He has outright lied about education in NJ - of our HUNDRED of individual school systems in NJ, only a handful are considered failing - but that isn't the message he put out there in order to get his "public outcry."

Just my two cents on the subject.

Governor Chris Christie is the only Governor in a very long time to take the bull by the horns and stop the Democrats from having free lunch on the publics expense. So glad he chose to Finish what he has to do here in Jersey befor running for President. Democrat or Republic credit must go to those whom will stop the Greedy Politicians and their Friends from pigging out on our money, Did I say Greedy? Nough said for now
