Guest Guest
What a disgrace that the varsity baseball season is underway and the field is not even close to being ready. This town is a joke. Can they get anything right. Don't even think on blaming the weather. This was supposed to be done last fall. Great job Kearny. way to support those kids

Great job Kearny. way to support those kids Just more proof that FD and his 5-4 majority could care less about our kids. If it were his middle school fantasy or hiring of another of his dependents it would have been accomplished ahead of schedule. All the poor unfortunate senior's and their chance at scholarships are severley diminished by this absurd situation. After four years of sweat and practice the Kearny Baseball seniors are spit upon like they mean nothing. If this doesn't bring outrage then nothing will. Good job FD and our ever present VP of Ops. Go back and read the minutes of the Board Report when the work on the field was approved. It was a 8-1 vote. This isn't about anyone trying to hurt the baseball team. Anyone can tell you that the weather did not cooperate. But what I don't get is the fact that everyone is crying for the seniors, what about the rest of the team or for that matter the 1000 kids from Franklin School that have been without a school yard. I don't hear anyone saying anything, or don't they matter. You all need to give up the bashing and nonsense. Any senior on the baseball team that deserves a scholarship for their baseball ability will be looked at if they have a home field or not. I wish ALL the players a great season, not just the seniors, ALL the players.

This had nothing to do with the weather. STOP THE EXCUSES!!!!!!!. Once again poor planning. And by the way dis anyone bother to tell you that the wrong piping was installed last fall and it had to be ripped up this spring. Three cheers for the contractors

The field was suppose to start after soccer season. The main factor was the weather. Talk to anyone on the committee.

The school was force to pick the current contractor, but for some reason every time he cut corner the school ok the cut and he continues to do a horrible job. Denis, you are very close to being accurate. The main problem is the people who are employed by the BOE are unqualified to have the positions they hold. Some of the current BOE members and some past members, who only hire friends and family, hired (2) guys in charge of buildings and grounds they have absolutely no clue about building, repairing or maintaining our facilities. Period. One of those members, Dave Stevenson is running for re-election. One of his running mates Zibbie Viscuso has taken part in those same unqualified hirings when he was a board member in the past. This is why these guys can not be elected. The school district loses, the taxpayers lose and our kids are short changed with these people! The Stevenson ticket is already promising JOBS TO PEOPLE IN TURN FOR VOTES! FACT! Don't let this continue.

You really are clueless! Who ever is feeding you your information is really making you look like a fool. The town would not approve the work if corners were cut. You really should reconsider you run for the board if you are this gullible.

So John C, whose niece works for the district can stop the garbage about the friends and family plan, as he likes to call it.
Guest Guest
Who gives a crap. This post is about how the field never got done. It has nothing to do with the board or candidates. You simpletons
