The American middle class is under attack

There are plenty of things wrong with unions but the attempts to take away collective bargaining rights in Wisconsin and other states is a systematic attempt by the rich to take all power away from workers. Some workers support it because they don't like workers with public employee unions making more than workers in the private sector. When workers oppose other workers like that, they're slitting their own throats.

The reason our parents and grandparents enjoyed such a high standard of living and advanced so far in just one generation is that they had strong unions that gave workers a fighting chance against management. If workers don't have that, they are powerless to oppose management, which speaks with a single voice.

Today people are upset because they see their economic security at risk. But if we give more power to the corporations at the expense of the workers, the imbalance will only get worse and the middle class will continue to decline.

There is no check on this because the root of it is corporate greed, and there is no limit on that. If the American people do not figure this out, soon, the hole we are in will get deeper and deeper because real purchasing power will decline without a strong, prosperous and vibrant middle class.

Why is this person a moron? Even if you dont agree it was a well thought out opinion. You really make yourself look foolish and lose any credibility with comments like that.

He's a moron because of his nonsensical post. If you think it was a "well thought out opinion" you may be a moron too.

If someone has an opinion and you do not agree with it, give your opinion and that's it. Everyone that is presenting an opinion that you do not agree with is not on drugs.

There's another side to this story:The moral obligation of the states not to default on their bonds.Tens of millions depend on monthly interest. Many of these are of modest means.I'm not going to eat dog food in order for a public worker to luxuriate at the beach all summer.
