Poster: Why wasn't the Fourth Ward tallies posted?

Based upon her past record of such, has O'Brien already filed some legal action or challenge?

Oh, by the way, I see that Christine O'Donnell was defeated in her Delaware Senate bid.

Happy Belated Halloween, Joan!!!

More of the same. Let's see how much more the mayor f***s up this town before the next election. Hopefully people will start to open their eyes. They complain about taxes going up, but keep voting in the same fools. To everyone that voted for the mayor, thanks for screwing us some more.

Guest Congratulations Row B!

Congratulations to Row B. You ran a clean professional campaign. Your literature and message was on target and factual. The Dem letter was very effective in getting the facts out about both candidates for mayor. The ward letters in my ward for Millan, and the one I saw for Doran in the 4th ward, were very well done. I also thought your time spent at my door was great at letting me know what your plan for the town is and how it is working.

I am sure that you will continue to run the town in the same professional manor. I would also guess that you do not often hear 'Thank you'-- but I for one am grateful and Happy that you have won. My thanks for all that you do for our town!

I wasn't at the Elks afterwards, but I heard that in the mayor's victory speech he said that that there will be more layoffs. Is this true? If so, in what departments? Can somebody who was there either confirm or dispel that rumor. I am a taxpayer and I am very concerned about the future of our town. If there are to be layoffs they should be done after a true and honest asssessment of what is no longer necessary in these difficult financial and economic times. Please only honest responses..I am not trying to stir up anything here, just looking for an honest reply. Thank you.

There absolutely will be more layoffs, they will be well thought and they will be where needed. The first one will be Steve Mccormick on December 31st.

Thanks for the reply. But I was looking for a legitimate response. The election is over, so can't anybody be civil on this site? All I asked was if Mayor McDonough mentioned layoffs in his victory speech. Not a very difficult question to answer; a simple "yes" or "no" would suffice.

All crossing guards will be outsourced. the former bus driver now works in the DPW will be eliminated as well as 3 other in that department, simply going according to seniority. About 2-3 library employees will be laid off as well as one IT position. Why don't you ask Larry? he knows everything, just can't read.
