How come are board members are not practicing full disclosure when it comes to hiring methods?

In the June 30th meeting:

Sal Valanzola’s daughter was hired to a position.

10. Executive Secretary to the Business Administrator/Board Secretary

Dena Todd has been appointed to the position of Executive Secretary to the Business Administrator/Board Secretary at the 2010/2011 annual salary of $42,000.00, effective July 1, 2010.

On roll call, the following vote was recorded: Mr. Campbell, ‚no‛, Mr. Castelli, ‚no‛, Mr. Doran, ‚aye‛, Mr. King, ‚not voting‛, Mrs. Mc Donald, ‚aye‛, Mr. O’Malley, ‚not voting‛, Mrs. Schalago, ‚aye‛, Mrs. Santos, ‚aye‛, President Stevenson, ‚aye‛.

There being five votes in the affirmative, two votes in the negative and two members ‚not voting‛, the motion was carried.

When will they start taking better care of our children then themselves??

If this is the hiring practices they want, we need to vote them out.

In the may 17, 2010 meeting:

Same appointment: on roll call, Campbell, no, Castelli, no, Doran, no, King, no, McDonald, not voting, O'Malley, no, Schalago, not voting, Santos, YES, President Stevenson, YES.

What happened? This was a very strong knock down. How come members flipped later?

In the June meeting: This same appointment was tabled (held) and not voted on!

Looks like the Super had some convincing to do to his puppets.

You folks must realize the connection between ******* *** and *** ***. Blood is thicker than water. The Kearny way is to keep on voting until we get the votes the way we like them to be. With these two things in mind, why wouldn't you expect ***** kid to get a job. I am surprised that they didn't make her a VP in charge of high school dropouts; no certification, no degrees, no problem. We can fix that just ask around the high school main office to see if this has ever been done.
