The men made the appearance via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny, where they are each being held on a $400,000 bail, officials said. The 22-year-old New York man and four of his brothers were arrested Thursday morning after police say they abducted the man's two children from their mother's home here, said Kearny Deputy Police Chief James Corbett. At around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, John Millier, 22, who cops say has been separated from his wife for four months, barged into his wife's apartment on Kearny Avenue and walked out with the couple's 18-month-old and 6-week-old children, officials said. Police responded and found that Millier's 20-year-old wife had a lump on her head and scrapes and bruises on her arms and legs, reports said, adding that she said Millier and his brothers held her on the floor and took her phone. Millier punched her in the face when she tried to follow him out to his truck, reports said, adding that she then clung to the truck door as it sped away and was dragged several feet. Using the victim's cell phone, police tracked Millier to East Brunswick and arrested him there at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, reports said.
