Guest 2smart4u
Next week we say goodbye to Reid & Pelosi, aka Mumbo & Dumbo. It would be great if we could fire zerO too, but he'll get his bus ticket back to Chicago in 2 years. For now we'll settle for cutting up zerO's chinese credit cards and stop the bleeding. I repeat, you're right on the House going Republican but a majority of the Senate toss-ups are trending into the Democratic column so Democrats will remain the majority there. (Thanks Senate Republican candidates O'Donnell and Angle and Buck and Raese and McMahon!) Plus, the Republican House majority will likely be just 10 to 15 seats. Considering the broad gamut of Republicans (from Tea Partying firebrands to staid Northeastern Leonard Lance-types), the House won't be able to get much done unless mainstream Republicans and Democrats work together. That may very well be the take-away message of this election from the voters: no to Democratic control and no to a Repulican takeover. Let's re-convene on November 3 and see who's right. The only reason the dems may keep control of the senate is because 2/3rds of the seats aren't up for reelection, otherwise they'd be toast just like the house. After years of being punchdrunk from repeated thumpings (W's word) 2smart is giddy as a ***** at a ****** roast that he may be on the winning side. Act like you've been there before-although I guess you haven't Edited October 31, 2010 by KOTW Content.

The American people are about to hand control of at least one house of Congress back to the wholly owned subsidiaries of the giant corporations and the hedge fund managers and the banks: the Republican party. Why anyone with any intelligence would want to do that is beyond me but that's what's going to happen. It seems that we never learn. We have to have a full-blown disaster before we wake up to the fact that the people with the money will steal us blind if given the chance. The crash of 2008 wasn't bad enough, obviously. Well, look out, because if the Republicans gain even just enough control to stop Obama from restoring some balance to the government, we are headed back to the abyss. It happens every time. You would think we would learn but apparently we don't.
