Guest 2smart4u
The Loonys on KOTW are strangely silent lately. No more defending their messiah zerO, Mumbo(Pelosi)& Dumbo(Reid) or the frantic spending that has driven us to the edge of bankruptcy. People are no longer buying the "Bush did it" mantra and are holding zerO responsible for the trillion dollar giveaway program otherwise known as "stimulus", the unemployment numbers, the war on our southern borders that zero's ignoring and the king of all boondoggles, "ObamaCare". Dear Stupid, There are probably about three people reading your inane rants, which never amount to anything anyway so don't flatter yourself. That's for starters. The American people are spoiled and stupid. No politician can say that but it's the truth. We've been creating the current problems for decades: borrowing insane amounts of money against the future (mostly under Republican presidents), ignoring the need to free ourselves from dependence on foreign oil, ignoring rising health care costs and abuses by insurance companies, ignoring infrastructure, ignoring declining education standards, giving tax cuts with borrowed money, starting unnecessary wars with borrowed money, and assuming that life can go on exactly as it has before, when the United States was on top of the world. We can stay on top of the world but in order to do that, we will have to change our behavior. We will have to sacrifice and work hard, as generations before us did. The American people don't want to hear that. They want the president to give them instant solutions to long-term problems of their own making and it he can't do it, they turn on him. Republicans may regain control of Congress or they may not. But if they do, the country won't be better off. If they stay in power, they will only make things worse because it was their policies that caused our problems in the first place. Obama did not create the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression; he inherited it. If the American people want to act like spoiled brats, stick their fingers in their ears and vote in a group of crazy tea-partiers, they can do that; but this country will pay the price. I suppose zerO also "inherited" the 2.3 trillion he's added to the debt in less than 2 years. And there's nothing "crazy" about the Tea Party, they are intelligent, thoughtful, patriotic Americans who want to take our country back from the far left Loons that have brought us to the edge of bankruptcy. Considering the number of successes the Tea Party candidates have chalked up, there must be a lot of "crazy" people out there.

There are tens of millions of selfish, stupid people in this country, just like there were in Germany in the 1930's. The Germans thought they could restore national pride and prosperity by going after scapegoats. The Tea Party thinks it can restore the 18th century by paring back the government. It's not as vicious, yet, but it's equally as stupid. Their U.S. Senatorial candidates won't even answer questions because everything they say gets them into trouble. That's because they don't know what they're doing. What would you have done to avoid piling the debt that has been incurred since Obama took office? Be specific please, and support your answer with facts. You can't because you don't have any. President Obama inherited a near-catastrophic mess. He deserves credit for avoiding the catastrophe. But because the crash came near the end of Bush's second term, as opposed to the crash of 1929, which occurred in the first year of Hoover's presidency, stupid people are blaming Obama for it - a problem we created with our own greed and stupidity over decades. If we want this country to work properly and prosper, we can't just react. We have to think. You wouldn't understand that.

You seem to be forgetting the "stimulus", recognized by everyone to be the biggest trillion dollar boondoggle in american history. Throw into that mess "cash for clunkers, zerOcare and the latest one; 110 million to CA to create 55 jobs. The Kool-Aid Left, which you seem to be a part of voted for an incompetent, inexperienced socialist and the Patriots in Nov will begin to right the ship. So then by your rationale, the 70% of the US population that believe zerO's economic policies (not Bush's) have put us in this near-bankruptcy situation are "complete idiots". According to the latest Gallup Poll on the subject, 71% blame Bush for the state of our economy. http://www.gallup.com/poll/143024/bush-takes-brunt-blame-economy-obama.aspx Good grief, this idiot is calling someone else brain dead?
