zerO's approval rating has dropped again, down from 46% last week to 42% this week. It hasn't effected his credit rating with the Chinese though, every day he's proposing another billion dollar spending plan. 6 weeks until we cut up his credit cards.

If its for spending in this country, then good.

Now you're always whining about the deficit? Where were you when Bush was spending and borrowing like a drunken sailor? I have yet to see you object whenever they add 80 to 140 billion dollar supplemental for the war. But then war is OK with you, unlike spending on our people.

We know the stimulus helped keep unemployment down. It saved GM and Chrysler. If they folded, every employee, every dealer and the employees working for the dealers would all be unemployed. Every part and material supplier to GM and Chrysler would have lost business, laying off many of their employees. Everyone, who works at GM, Chrysler and at their dealerships are still working because of the stimulus.

When FDR took over, he slowed the bleeding. Between 1929 and 1932, the unemployment rate was going up 5% each year. He stabilized and actually reduced it a bit. What finally killed the depression was WW 2. The reason WW 2 killed the depression was due to massive and extraordinary Federal government spending. In todays dollars, the deficit accumulated by government during WW2 was 30 trillion dollars.

That's not to say Obama didn't make mistakes. He has made many. He's weak for not confronting the Republicans and for watering down the stimulus and other initiatives at their behest. He's under the illusion that by keeping the war going and "compromising" with their conservative positions that he will win their respect and cooperation. The reality is that the Republicans despise him, consider him weak (which I think he is), will never work with him and actually are doing their best to destroy him.

Obama should show some spine as FDR did when he told the reactionaries that "he welcomes their hate." He hasn't and I think he won't, so he'll lose.

Well, you're partially correct, I agree with your last 2 words.

I know you'll be heartbroken, but the latest Gallup poll has Obama's numbers rising again:

PRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama's job approval rating averaged 46% for the week ending Sept. 12, his highest weekly average since mid-July and up from the 43% low point recorded in late August.

For the week ending September 19, Gallup has Obama at 47%.

Obama is precisely where Ronald Reagan was in his first term.

Moron. That's Fox's so-called poll. There aren't any facts on Fox. It's all spin.

Of course, if that's all you watch, you may not be able to tell the difference.

Tsuanami, really?? With the likes of O'Donnell, Paladino and McMahon, you can't rationally think it'll be a Republican rout?? I mean the Republican Party is doing a good job of limiting the Democratic losses in November. Thank you, Tea Party-ers!

You really are that stupid, aren't you. If the results of an election prove who's right and who's wrong, then what about the elections in 2006 and 2008?

Huh?? The results of any election only prove who won and who lost. This Nov the patriotic republicans will win and the loony left socialists will lose.
