Guest Guest
After 8 years of the Bush presidency, mostly war years, Bush left with a 1.5 trillion deficit. The 2010 Obama budget of 1.3 trillion requires borrowing almostone trillion. Moody's announced today the U.S. is in danger of losing it's AAA bond rating because of Obama's spending binge. The interest alone on our debt is now 100 billion a month. Not to worry however, Obama announced a spending freeze NEXT YEAR. Also, Obama has announced another stimulus. The last one failed so he's doubling down. However this one won't be called a stimulus, they changed the name to something more palatable, it will be called a "job's bill". It shows what he thinks of the american public (change the name from stimulus to jobs and the public will love it). I never thought I would miss Bubba Clinton. Dear Stupid, I'll try to explain this in a way that even you might understand. If you eat candy all day long for many years and never brush your teeth, and then you need fifteen fillings, ten root canals and seven extractions, it's not the fault of the new dentist. If only you knew where appropriations, umm, that means spending, comes from. From 2000 to 2006 the Republicans ran the House and their spending was bad. When the Dems took over in Bush's last two years, they made the Republican deficits look tiny. And now, we'll just raise the debt limit. You should call your credit card company, tell them you want to name your own limit, and see what they say. As for the candy comparison, we can't blame the new dentist, but with a trial lawyers help, you sure could sue the candy company. After all personal responsibility died years ago. What in the world does that have to do with broken promises and lies?
Guest Guest
What in the world does that have to do with broken promises and lies? Everything. The Republicans have been claiming to want smaller government for decades. They can't deliver and don't even try. When they were in power, government got bigger and we went from surplus to deficit. Meanwhile, things we really need, like new energy sources and infrastructure, were delayed. Republicans claim that they want to give power back to the people. No they don't. All they do is get government out of the way so the corporations can rob us. People are stupid enough to think that if the government is out of the way, everything will be fine. No it won't. If government is out of the way, the people with the money will rule the world completely. It's bad enough that they have so much influence on government but at least with government we can vote the bums out. Once you give complete control to the corporations, you can't do anything at all. I think you need to check into a rehab clinic.
Guest genius
You obviously haven't been keeping up. Many dems are bailing from ObamaCare because of the threat of losing their jobs in Nov. They know if Coakley can lose in Mass., no one's job is safe.Another example is the second stimulus (now called the "jobs" bill), all the dems embraced the first one but many are now vowing to defeat Son of Stimulus. It's clear the annointed one's luster has worn off. You can't ignore all the broken campaign promises, the major mistake of wanting to hold terror trials in NY federal courts, the outright lies of "2,000,000 jobs saved" ( there's no formula for calculating such a statistic.) and the increase in earmarks (another broken promise). When your grandchildren are still paying off the stimulus, jobs and all the other pork-laden pet projects the community organizer is spending their money on and the kids ask you how he ever became president, be sure to tell them you voted for him. Do you simply repeat what you hear on the news? You're like a parrot. Do you know how to form an opinion of your own? Try thinking for yourself for a change. Educate yourself, and that doesn't mean to watch CNN, FOX or ABC. Sheesh, we're doomed if people make decisions like you do.
