Guest 2smart4u
Where's Al Gore when we need him?? We're having the coldest winter in 25 years and global warming Al is nowhere to be found. The loony left has been caught cooking the books on the earth climate to promote their "green" agenda and now the coldest winter in 25 years has driven our "almost" president underground. BTW, Chris Dodd of Conn. has announced his retirement rather than face a huge defeat in the next election. Watch for more leftists to follow him as summer rolls around. The GOP is ready to take back Congress and our Marxist president will follow Dodd, Reid, Pelosi, et al in '12. He could save his skin like Clinton did by moving to the center but I don't thing he's capable of that. His socialist mind-set is cast in stone. Guest Fact Checker
That's correct but incomplete. All evidence points to a normal fluxuation in global warming and cooling as the earth shifts slightly in it's axis. All "evidence points"? What are your sources? How does "axis shifting" affect Earth's temperature overall? Every independent source, like NASA and the WMO, acknowledge that this is not a normal fluctuation: The year 2009 is likely to rank in the top 10 warmest on record since the beginning of instrumental climate records in 1850, according to data sources compiled by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The global combined sea surface and land surface air temperature for 2009 (January-October) is currently estimated at 0.44*C +/- 0.11*C (0.79*F +/- 0.20*F) above the 1961-1990 annual average of 14.00*C/57.2*F. The current nominal ranking of 2009, which does not account for uncertainties in the annual averages, places it as the fifth-warmest year. The decade of the 2000s (2000-2009) was warmer than the decade spanning the 1990s (1990-1999), which in turn was warmer than the 1980s (1980-1989). More complete data for the remainder of the year 2009 will be analysed at the beginning of 2010 to update the current assessment. "This year above-normal temperatures were recorded in most parts of the continents. Only North America (United States and Canada) experienced conditions that were cooler than average. Given the current figures, large parts of southern Asia and central Africa are likely to have the warmest year on record....

As to your global warming view, the world does not revolve around you, 2smart: You know (don't you?) about the record high temperatures this week in Washington State, Alaska and Bulgaria in the Northern Hemisphere -- plus, down south, the record-breaking high temperatures in New Zealand, and the second hottest year on record (after 2005) in Australia? NOAA's website lists the warmest 25 years in recorded history. Seven of those years are; 1921, 1931, 1933, 1934, 1938, 1939, and 1941. Of course Al Gore wasn't around in those years so there was no hysteria over the normal fluxuation of global temperatures due to variations in the earth's axis. Our loony "almost president" has made millions off this fraud of man-made global warming and all the loony minions will believe anything he says. As to your global warming doubts, doesn't the following worry you?: The nine warmest years on record (since 1880) have all occurred since 2001, with the warmest year being 2006. Yes, by electoral vote, but in 2000, that was done after the United States Supreme Court, in a 5 to 4 vote, stopped the recounting of votes by overruling the Florida State Supreme Court. Bush won by one Supreme Court vote. That's not how we elect Presidents. You might not agree with Obama, Pelosi and Reid, but noone can question their intellectual capabilities. All the polls, including the CBS poll which is a far left poll, have Obama's approval rating at 38%. If this healthcare bill passes (which 70% of americans disapprove of) and the terrorist trials are held in NY which virtually everyone disaproves of, Obama's ratings will be in the gutter. Can you say "stick a fork in him, he's done"? BTW, Florida is having the coldest weather in 20 years. I guess they haven't gotten the word from Gore. You're a F**KING idiot because global warming is not that literal. Extreme weather is the byproduct not that we will never again experience cold weather again. 2.) Who are the "everyone" that disapproves of the terror trials in NY? No one asked me. Did they ask you? New Yorkers are tougher than that and if you are a New Yorker, quit being such a pussy. 3.) Is every poll that doesn't match up with FOX a "far left poll"? 4.) The war was lost. What did we gain? We falsely invaded a soverign country that did nothing to us and the only good that came from it was ffor war profiteers.

Either way the Recounts would not have mattered. a number of Newspapers, including those Bastions of Right-wing-ism such as the NY times, Washington Times, NY Daily News, and Miami Herald ALL did independant counts under FOIA..ALL of those counts showed a clear Bush win. What the SCOTUS decision did was put a halt to the Delaying tactics that were on the verge of completely screwing up the transition. Say what you want about the new candidate from Conneticut..at least SHE didnt recieve a "Special" mortgage deal from Countrywide under somewhat smelly circumstances considering within a year the Housing market was tanking.
