Guest Paul
Also here for the time being: http://news.aol.com/elections/article/coli...9146x1200670563 It was beautiful! Thoughtful, right on the money and finally (!) somebody said what should have been said a long time ago in defense of Muslim Americans. Guest *Autonomous*
You're easily impressed. Over 200 Generals and Admirals have endorsed McCain. You forgot 'retired' which I dare say is relevant in wartime. How many are crossing party lines to do so after serving a high-ranking post in their own party? Care to argue against what Powell actually said? After all, you suggested that liberals support their "beliefs with facts" here: http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=91709 Surely you can do the same. Not that you ever have before, but there's always a first time.
Guest Guest
"And an unnamed GOP official told Politico: "This Powell endorsement is the nail in the coffin," said one Republican official, speaking anonymously to offer candid thoughts about the party's nominee. "Not just because of him, but the indictment he laid out of the McCain campaign."" Oh but wait, this comes from Politico via Huffington. Maybe it's not true. Guest Moving Soon
I've already decided to move to Iran if McCain wins the election, but that's besides the point. What I'm here to say is that I'm glad Powell is on board. It says a lot about how on point Obama's foreign policy outlook is, if a top U.S. General is taking up his cause. Maybe this administration will stop f**king worrying about Israel so much (get America's head out of its ass) and focus on issues that threaten Americans and the truly disenfranchised (take on the crisis in Sudan, do more to fight Al-Quada). Look, it's pretty simple. If, God forbid, something happens to Barack Obama during his presidency, he has Joe Biden, Colin Powell, Warren Buffet, Hillary and Bill Clinton, and a laundry list of others who will carry his torch. McCain has Palin, uhmm Palin? uhh... Sarah Palin whose constituency in Alaska is a little higher than the population of Kearny? Really? That's who is next in line? Her and her guns and her radical churches and her knocked up daughter (that's an example of bad parenting ... in my opinion, it's fair game). Come on. This woman is a goddamn joke. Those are your options. It's not about a high profile General coming out in support of a candidate. It's about one of the most prolific military men in the last 3 decades coming out and endorsing the right man for the job. It's not just some random money expert coming out in support of Barack Obama, it's Paul Krugman (Nobel Prize Winner 08) and Warren Buffet showing their support for Barack. It's about the smartest individuals in the world in the economic and defense fields saying Obama 08! Change! You name it. He's the right man for the job. And I'll be frank... you're f**king stupid if you think otherwise. That being said, I know there may be typos, spelling errors, and grammar mistakes in my writing, but stay on point here. Don't correct me where I'm wrong. Try your best to correct the experts. The men and women of genius in this country. And stop listening to the cries of "Bill Ayers... Socialist... Terrorist... Rev. Wright... ACORN" Because if you're listening to that and buying any of it, then you've missed the point. This election is about issues, not attacks. Unsubstantiated attacks. And I know I'm beating a dead horse, Kearny, but I really believe that my hometown is blue, and if not, then the people who are red are respectful and have their wits about them. Don't buy into crap. Don't listen to the dying battle cries of Mr. McCain. He's an old bat who is off his rocker and his running mate is so out of touch with OUR TOWN. She's from Alaska and gets up at 5 am to hunt. We're not gun-toting red-necks in Kearny. This is a rant... I know. I'm all over the place... I know. But if you read this, please think about things for a second. Doesn't matter what the Democrats think. The point is that a General and former Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff went against his own party to support Obama. But hey, don't believe us. You'll get the result in a couple more weeks.

Even the Obama camp is worried about the folks that say they're voting for him, looking to be considered enlightened, but really will not vote for a black candidate. Obama's people are expecting that to be a minimum of 5%. It's probably alot more.

Bern
Doesn't it worry you that the last, best hope for the Republican Party is that Americans are racist? Not really. Their antics over the past several years show us its time the Republican party disappears. The majority no longer supporting them is a good sign. They are reduced - only racists, the scared and other mentally challenged still take that party seriously.

He gets a pass because he now supports Obama. Question for Paul; How many passes do you still have up your sleeve? The way you've been handing them out you must be running low. The Bradley Effect is a myth (fact is, racists simply have no reason to lie to pollsters about supporting Obama, when it's much simpler to lie and say they're against Obama because (insert Repub talking point here)?), and I'm sure the Obama camp knows that. However, it's nothing but good for anyone to think Obama has less of a lead than he does--it'll just make everyone work harder and get even more votes in the end. So, thanks. Tell me what you want me to do to or about Colin Powell. It's a serious question. Now let's discuss something that one of us can actually do something about. How many free passes are you going to give yourself? Now that Powell and many other Republicans have endorsed Obama, how do you respond to them? I've asked you this question before, several times. So if you're going to talk about people getting or not getting passes for their behavior, I suggest you begin with your own.
