Close again. The U.S. is #2 in "relative" poverty (among industrialized nations) behind Mexico. Unfortunately, "relative" poverty is a pretty much meaningless statistic, since compared to a nation that is destitute but with a small number of children below a certain level of income the U.S. would fall behind that country in terms of relative poverty even if our very poorest child were better off than the richest child in that other country.

Unfortunately that's probably a good thing since most U.S. citizens are not well-informed enough to vote responsibly. Were general and political knowledge more widespread, higher voter activity should be welcome. I hope you don't vote in the U.S., given how bad you are at handling statistics in a manner that suggests that you have something against the United States.
