Guest Billy the Kid
Can anyone tell me why, when the Town of Harrison is going through a redevelopment phase and building a "Stadium", they have not hired any more police officers to supplement the department? Is this because the mayor is civilianizing the entire police department with voters. He should look at the crime stats and see that the Town of Harrison is getting its d**k handed to them..... We all hope the redevelopment goes well, but who is going to want to live here with the consistant rise in violent crime. As I see it we are no longer seperated from Newark (3 bridges), we are living in it.. To all those officers who help defend the borders I say thank you and stay safe..... Isn't it a better idea to phase in new cops as the redevelopment progresses?

Several weeks of In-service training before they go to the Academy, 26 Weeks there, then however long HPD uses for FTO or equivalent rteaining, and you are looking at a fairly long process to get boots on the ground. If they wait until the stadium/housing/what have you is biult, then it's too late.

THE COPS WOULD BE 'INSIDE' THEM, NOT 'OUTSIDE'. INSTALL THE CAMERAS LIKE IN EAST NEWARK. CATCHING THE CRIME ON TAPE WILL GIVE BETTER PROOF IN COURT, BETTER THAN THE TESTIMONY OF A COP OR WITNESS. THE DEFENSE TEAM WILL WORK THE WITNESS INTO CONFUSION ABOUT WHAT HE 'EXACTLY' SAW, WHILE A 'PICTURE TELLS A THOUSAND WORDS.'
