A thousand more cops sitting at Dunkin Doughnuts isn't going to reduce crime.  We either need more detectives or better trained detectives.  Get them off their butts and out investigating crimes until their is an arrest.  If they cant find the bad guys, put someone in there who can.  Send these guys to schools so they get better trained.

And where do you propose they get more detectives? Buddy, the PD is working shorthanded as it is. They already have more detectives than they have had in recent years;and that includes the 2 night guys that unjustly were moved out last month. If you want more detectives....you need more cops! This town's population will nearly double within the next 5-10 years. Does the town have a contingency plan in place to handle the influx?????...Nope! With all the building going on, and all the tax breaks given out in the proccess, don't you think that it should have been negotiated that those doing the building and receiving the breaks should be constructing an adequately sized, state of the art Police Headquarters or a Public Safety Building? I think that's the least they could do. Bottom line is that the PD is and will always be an afterthought. Unfortunately it is only when one of the "chosen few's" family is adversely affected by crime that something will be done! The men & women in blue are getting pretty fed up with the way things are going. They see it, even before the general population does. Suggestions are made, but they fall on deaf ears. The town has had the ok to hire several new cops since the beginning of the year. Where are they???? Soon, they are told. Well, until it happens, it ain't happenin'. Ya know what I mean?

The man thinks the PD can operate with 30-40 cops! Wait til the traffic really

starts to back up, when 3,000 additional families take to the streets of Harrison to drive to work. They think that the 10-20 special cops will absorb the need for cops. Its time that the fair and honest residents of Harrison speak up on behalf of the PD (and the FD.) Your'e going to need them (and more of them) more than you realize. Talk to the cops, get the facts before you make your post. They see the problems, too. But they can't do a thing about it.

As far as the Dunkin' Donuts goes, we already have two. We actually need a decent bagel shop. I don't care for donuts!
