Just think several years from now when the MLS goes belly up the town of Harrison will be left with a 18,000 seat eyesore - no worry - the BOE can always use it to park the trailers they will be using as classrooms!!!!

This soccer stadium project will go down as the worse decision ever made by a mayor in Hudson County. It will add over $40,000,000 of bonded debt that will raise taxes and take decades to pay off, while providing no income or residual benefits to the town.

Far from being the "centerpiece" of the redevelopment area, it will be an eyesore that will sit vacant most of the time.

The taxpayers will be paying for this mayor's grandiose ideas for a long time, probably a lot longer than the Red Bulls will be around.

Wouldn't that be great if they broke the ground to McDonough Stadium next week....right in the middle of all this construction & congestion. Well, if its next week next month or next year......its gonna happen..get ready

Don't count on this stadium deal yet. Remember where you heard it first.

If it were all that easy here in harrison.  Redbulls fire their leader, their coach

If Harrison was a privately run corporation with McDonough as the CEO and the council as the board of directors, Harrison would be bankrupt and the stockholders would be broke. Sort of like Enron.

I heard that TK wants that job too. This way he can hire all his family members, so they can all be on the corporate tit, just like they are suckling off the Town of Harrison's teats.

Careful TK. When you kick the ball on opening day, use your good foot. We dont want that yodel toe to come flying off in front of the 18,000 non-english speaking attendees.

When is the stadium going to open? Is it really that bad? I do agree about the Mayor, only out for himself. Well, he is going to bring that town down to its knees. So sad, because Harrison was a decent place to live at one time.

I think you're right . That $40,000,000 with interest will end up costing the taxpayers much more than that.

It still blows my mind to think the mayor signed this deal without ever bringing it to the taxpayers ( the people that pay the bills ) in a referendum. Not only will it go down as the worst decision ever made by a mayor in Hudson County, but it will also go down as the worst case of arrogance, disrespect and disregard for the residents of Harrison.
