A Message from Mayor McDomough

According to the, "Message from the mayor," which was mailed to all Harrison residents, he has spoken with several intelligent people who realize:

1. Being designated a distressed city is a good thing for Harrison.

2. Being designated an Abbot district is a good thing for Harrison.

Im sure these intelligent people are really going to enjoy the next designation, "Bankrupt"

He is right when he said, "the town is not making any money on the 38% increase in the water rate," but Passaic Valley is. We all know God gives us the water free but it costs money to get it to us. Why does it cost so much? We have to pay the people to deliver it to us. Who are these people.

Raymond McDonough, Artie Pettigrew, Victor Villalta, Jim Doran's brother, Carol Mandaglio's son, Larry Benett, Tom Powell, Mayor Smith, and the list goes on.

Why don't you get some buckets, get your family together and go down to the river for your water. Maybe Milan can help you with all his pull and tell the state.

THE PEOPLE THAT WERE NAMED IN THE PREVIOUS POST WORK FOR PASSIC VALLEY SEWERAGE COMM. YOU DON'T GET YOUR DRINKING WATER FROM THEM. THEY HANDLE YOUR WASTEWATER. I KNOW WHAT THE REPLY WILL BE ALREADY! SOMETHING NEGATIVE AS ALWAYS IN REGARDS TO THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL. HOWEVER, PASSAIC VALLEY SEWERAGE COMM. RATES DID INCREASE SLIGHTLY. I GUESS THATS ALL THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL FAULT AS WELL. WHILE YOUR AT IT BLAME THEM FOR PRICE OF GAS TOO!

Let you that write such intelligent messages get two things straight. Harrison gets water from Passaic Valley WATER COMMISSION. The people that you have listed there works for Passic Valley Sewage Commission Not Passaic Valley Water Commission. As for Tom Powell he is just a Commissioner at PVSC, who makes between $10,000 - $15,000, and are appointed to that position. The longest person that has worked for PVSC out of the group that you listed is Larry Bennett, everyone else out of that group came after him. Before writing anything you should have your facts in front of you. Once again that is intelligent Harrison people who have been educated in the Harrison School system that is the lowest rated school system in the State.

You call yourself educated? then learn how to right properly. Yes they might have all graduated from the lowest rated school system in the state now, but at the time that they all graduated it was a top rated school system of New Jersey both academically and in most major sports, since you all graduated from Harrison Hight School you should all remember, I do. Mayor Rodgers knew how to run and appropriate funds then. Mayor McDoughna has no clue......

Guest How can u not mention

"If you have any questions or to learn the real facts, you can contact me at any time. I have always had an open door policy, and this policy will continue"NO phone number to call him, no e-mail nothing listed. Like the town web page, with no dates of meetings or contact phone numbers.

It is you who should get your facts straight. The Harrison School System is not the lowest ranked in the state. It is however close.

Face it. He is just a friggin' liar!

It's a shame, because he started off w/ so much promise. Then greed sets in. And ghosts from the past come a-callin'; then you gotta settle up old debts.

He wasn't always the guy he has now become. He used to be a very approachable and honest person. It's too bad he couldn't stay that way. It is possible to be true to youself and others and still get the job done. But anyone who thinks that its possible must live outside this mile-square cest-pool this place has become under his watch!

Thats a shame too. Because you read the other topics and people mention the places in Harrison's past that live in their memory. Those were the good old days. The sad part is that, for the kids growing up here now, these ARE their good old days.

You should not take for granted that everyone graduated from Harrison School system. Not everyone in this town went to your school system, and no one is taking about sports.

I WAS JUST RESPONDING TO THE PERSON WHO SAID THAT THIS TOWN IS BEING RUN BY INTELLIGENT PEOPLE WHO GRADUATED FROM HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL, AND YES IF YOU WANT TO SPEAK OF A GOOD SCHOOL SPORTS COME WITH THAT TERRITORY. A GOOD RUNNED SCHOOL SYSTEM IS USUALLY WELL BALANCED.
