THEY ARE PAYING BOB MURRAY FOR ALL THE CONTRACT ARBITRATION WITH POLICE/FIRE UNIONS. WONDER WHAT THAT BILL IS FOR? DON'T WE HAVE AN ATTORNEY ON THE 2ND FLOOR ALREADY? WHY DO WE NEED BOB MURRAY? It seems that the town hires a lot of extra attorneys so why, again so why do we have him?? Lets trim the budget and pare down the staff if they can not do the job. He sits down four or five times with both the Fire guys and the Police guys.. That's like 10 meetings.. Gets paid how much?? Then what do they do. REFER the packages to the PERC board. So let me get this straight. Murray gets paid for 10 meetings, then shoves it off to the PERC board. So, did the mayor know this. WELL, funny you should ask that question. See the Mayor made a statement in an observer before the Murray Money Meetings started... He (Ray) said, we'll be headed to the PERC.. Conclusion, The town pays Murray.. (X 10) with all intentions of passing it off to arbitration. By the way, That's not free.. So the Town pays again. Trust Us... It would be cheaper to agree to re-new the same contract amounts for both the Fire and Police from the last contract, then to pay for all the attorney fees..
