See, I am not the only one who thinks that BK comment was absolutely rude.So only hoodlums and teens with fitted caps and shorts down to their ankles work in Burger King? College students can't also work in Bk to make extra money. The reference, "go to Burger King" was to say that while working their, they will not be responsible for kids.Sorry I lost you, I'll talk slower next time.

slimey hold on hes just doing what i hope ANY KEARNYITE SHOULD DO! he was born in town and has a birth right to see that the town lives! he mite not be right! but do not poo him! this is a very importent clame you make! and no i do not agree with all he says but if more old blood like him would care to give input the town would be better off! and he also knows whats in the dumps like ash pits and very hot chem pools! i would like him to post on that too!!! 
Hi oldfart56. I understand, but there is no need for his ignorance. Thae gentleman does not live here anymore so he does not know what goes on here all the time. Unless people are feeding him bogus information. It is a proud feeling to know that people who used to live in town still care, but the whole tree situation is wrong. At least put a tree back when you cut one down. Our beautiful town is looking sad. -
No sweetie, I work for a living and take care of my family. I can't just sit on my a$$ and play with my computer all day like you. I have a life. I was not trying to stir up trouble, true I did not know all the facts, but it bothers me that some parts of this beautiful town are looking bare. If they cut a tree down put one back. Sorry to the people who have property damage, I was just thinking about our Earth. It is a shame that all nature is disappearing from Kearny. I did not know that that much damage was happening. At least I am big enough to say sorry. Now I have some answers.Its funny how people like slimster try to stir things up and when they're proven wrong, they just disappear. -

Now why would anyone chop down healthy trees? Does that make any sense to you? Do you know the process for removing a tree? Do you know the checks and balances before a tree can be removed?
Before making accusations and name calling maybe you should make a few calls to the right people to get answers to the above questions.. It's people like you that enraged me when I lived in town.
When you lived in town? Shut up, you don't even live here. I know what is going on in this town. The trees do not have to be cut down. If they are rotten fine. But they are healthy. I have seen the same trees every day for the past 15 years. They should not be chopped down. They are cutting my neighbors trees down and they are not happy. I have been making the right calls, there are times when there is no answer and times when there isn't anyone available to take my calls. I just wanted to know why. Don't be such a nastyass, I am trying to find the answers. Next time you have anything to say about any town, make sure you live in that town.

Why are the chopping all the trees down? On my way home from work I noticed several streets in Kearny with healthy trees chopped and ready to be fire wood. Healthy trees are being killed! Taking the trees away is a big mistake, not only are they a home for several animals, but also oxygen for us. And they are so beautiful. I can see trimming them so they don't touch the wires or the homes, but come on, cutting them down to nothing. It is such a shame. I know that it is the town workers job, but what a$$hole gave the order? Kearny is slowly but surely becoming to city like. It is so sad.

It's a sad day when someone so blatantly prejudiced and biased gets the support of an equally sadistic bulletin board community. All of you misinformed high school dropouts might have missed formative history lessons: America was forged on the collective skills of many immigrant groups (be it masonry OR restaurant services). I'm disgusted that "proud" Americans could have missed such fundamentals. Yes, you're bitter. Having to foster so much hate for a culture that you don't understand must be weighing pretty heavily on the chip on your shoulder. But I, for one, would rather be party to a shrimp and garlic shoot off than a celebration of blind patriotism and Nazi-esque dislike for those who wish to retain pride during the World Cup (once every four years) for their heritage.
Fold up your ignorance and put it in a drawer along with mementos of all your other inadequacies.

Sorry you couldn't make it last night. The fireworks were beautiful, the music was wonderful and everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves, American or not. Thats cool. Sorry we missed them too.

nobody in this town cares about the U.S.A anyway...look how many stupid portugal flags are being flown cause of the world cup.... i didnt see that many people supporting the U.S when they were still in it.its sad..real sad You do not see too many of the other country's flags anymore. Yes, that is what he said, and your right, it should have been posted on the website.Did he call the KPD? All departments (KPD, KFD & DPW) were aware of the decision to postpone at approximately 11:00am. I spoke with a KPD member that worked the desk and all callers after that time were advised they were postponed.What is very frustrating is that this info shold have been posted on the town website as the first course of action.

Someone I work with said he called the Police Dept. and they said the fireworks were still on until further notice. That was at 2:00pm. He gathered all of his grandchildren and waited with alot of other people, I can not even come close to how pissed he is. I would be too. I cannot go tonight, so my children are going to miss out. What is going on with Kearny? Have they lost the spirit or is it that there is not enough Americans left? It makes me so angry, this town is nothing what it used to be. Where are the Americans?I am enraged with the towns decision to cancel the 4th of July celebration!!!!!Since when does the United States of America worry that it MIGHT rain late evening and that maybe it MIGHT be during the fireworks display??????????
This event was cancelled at 11AM who's decision was this ???? THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT ? THE POLICE DEPARTMENT ? or THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ? every other town in the teri state area had fireworks this evening !!!! Do you think that people , after working all day want to rush, cook dinner, dress the kids and then go to the fireworks on the 5th of July? I don't think so,
I think that this town is going downhill FAST!!!!!! and I for one, with the taxes I pay, I am seriously thinking of moving out of a town that holds nothing sacred anymore

So sad, because Harrison was a decent place to live at one time.I heard that TK wants that job too. This way he can hire all his family members, so they can all be on the corporate tit, just like they are suckling off the Town of Harrison's teats.Careful TK. What's the story with the Spanish Pavillion and town employees? Are we allowed to go there to eat or not. No one told me that we are not supposed to go there. I don't want to go there and then get in trouble when I go to work if they catch me in there. Who knows what is going on with this? It is so sad that you will not go into a place because the big bad wolf said not to. Get a back bone!!! If you and your family like the place then go!!!! Be your own person. Do you really want to follow in their footsteps and end up like them?

440 harrison ave the old cifelli on the corner of harrison ave and fifth street great food. Sorry to say I was not pleased. At the last minute 5 of us were invited to a dinner there with a few other people. Maybe they were nervous because it was such a large table, but the service was not what everyone said it was. The appys were great, the drinks ok, but the main course was horrible. I sent back my dinner because it was dry, and they brought me back a dinner that was burnt. The owner said he was sorry many times and he was very nice, I might try the place one more time but on a smaller level.(not so many people) I would not say the food is great, but it needs a chance. I wish the place much success.
