you just wasted your money, i have nothing against the kpd but i wish they hadent gone and encripteds there scanner system,they could have had a special frenquency for special operations but they didnt ,may be there is something i dont understand possably for there safety ???as citizens we have no way of knowing what to look out for or what parts of town are hot.hope they unencript soon.

Can someone explain why this mayor, would lead us down the road where their is a Deputy Chief position deleted yet he continues to employ two, yes 2 Recreation Directors in a job that only needs 1? Can we please save the taxpayers money and the kids of this town some stability in their leagues and fix the disfunctional Recreation Department and not worry about the Police Department, which does a great job in keeping our citizenry safe!
kearny police dept dose indeed do a great job ,i here said if something is not broke you should not fix it. if taxes have to be raised to support a high caliber of police officers you wont hear me complain. as the chief said there is little respect shown to police officers or in that case any authority figure,one word of caution" beware what you let citizens get away with ",many people push to try to see how far thay can go ,double parking seems minor were will it go from there,parking in the prohibited,running red lights,stop signs,hit and run?? see it only gets worse if you dont stop it in the beging,dowie get tougher ,remember only the strong survive.

Why yes, Concerned, I did read it correctly. Some basic facts:
Did you know that the percentage of "illegal immigrants" in the US who are not employed is minute? Just look around you in Kearny. Look at who's working for contractors or landscapers or the kitchen in many of your local restaurants.
Did you know there are many "illegal immigrants" who even own homes?
Did you know that illegal immigrants don't qualify for federal benefits, not college loans, not social security, not welfare, not medicare, not anything?
Did you know that the children of illegal immigrants do qualify for public education while still minors but that the overwhelming majority of the children are born in the US and thus US citizens?
The one area that I think you're right is emergency health care where "illegal immigrants" avail of those services without paying their fair share.
illegal means that you are doing some thing wrong you cant justify that weather you work hard ,own a home,or have children why dont you try following the rules like all other imigrants had to????what do you think you are special ????there is no rational argument for illegal ,period.....................,

you are right it should have been a simple comment to honor all our vets,if it helps i work with a few viet nam vets and some desert storm vets i think you think like i think l called them and simply said thanks ,they were so greatful for my thinking of them and there service to us all even those who want to deniy there importance. if you dont believe in something you will fall for anything

after reading what you wrote i cant imagin you dont know how close you are to kearny and harrisoni all these small towns are in the same boat. we really need one another now more than ever ,start helping now.. dont waite till its to late get involved...

in case you have n0t noticed we are all in the same boat we need to band together not point fingers it dose n0t matter what town you live in it is very important that we all watch out for each other if you have a good neighbor watch out for them as you expect them to look out for you.maybe thats what you meant to say dont be scared report bad actions to the proper agency.

you probably work in a group of 150 law abiding citizens try to understand that a police officers job is usually with irational people, pissed off neighbors who wait to long to do some thing about quality of life issues i e noise, parking, fighting,plus many other issues that may at times overwelm the kearny police how ever thy all ways respond i have witnessed the person in the wrong arguing with the police officer ,,its 0nly 2 am on a sunday morning no one has work tomorrow why cant we make noise???? rediculous argument,how ever the officer kept his cool and advised if he had to return someone would be summoned. its not an easy job dealing with some of the trash on kearny streets

As for your grandmother she should learn english so I dont have to stand behind her in line anywhere and have her try to explain whatever it is she is explaining just to have the clerk not understand her, although he probably wouldnt anyway because your grandmother is a moron. OH and btw, SPEAK ENGLISH!!!!

get the most important phon # out there and use it 201-998-1313 K P D the only hope is a strong and commited police force. and citzens who are not afraid to get involved you dont have to put youeself in harms way there are proffesionals for that KPDI agree that something has to be done about these punks. I drive over the chestnut bridge every now and then and I see them mouthing something at me. Luckily for me my music is too loud for me to hear what they're saying.
But I would feel sorry if they get hit, mostly because the driver will get in trouble over these D**bA** kids.

Has anyone seen the grammar school kids that hang out on the Chestnut St. bridge riding their bikes in circles in the middle of the road often coming to a dead stop in front of moving cars? Where are the parents? Why aren't the police doing anything about it? These kids aren't even wearing helmets!!! I'm sure a few laws are being broken here. God forbid one kid actually gets hit...the responsibility will be on the driver. People tell these kids to get out of the street and often times they just retort with some snide remark or profanity. you are on the right track why dont you take matters into your own hands not litterly but get on your cell phone call 201-998-1313 * 67 if you must but do something all kearny residents must get involved dont be afraid dont run and hide that is what these people thrive on fight back now. keep kearny safe and clean positive thinking is what every one needs to adopt.

We need to confront the real problem which is a total lack of respect for one another and one another's property. When called, the Kearny Police Department responds, they may not be able to lock everyone up however, it will make the people who are ruining the quality of life in our town aware that there are people in our community who care and who will not tolerate their behavior. i wish you double what you wish me!!!!! why would you wish a decent law abiding citizen a worst life??? you should learn to get along with your neighbors and respect that they have to get up to go to work allso ,
