Could Celeste Regal just once make sense in something she writes? Look at these 2 items she wrote.

Politican phenomenon, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, crossed the finish line in front of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton in the grueling race for leader of a major party ticket on Tuesday night.

Obama made history as the first black in the marathon fight to the very end of the campaign primary with Clinton cordial but not conceding as of yet. The refreshing young senator was pitted against experience and female determination in a specatcular ride.

If elected, Obama will be the first black president, and if he picks Clinton as a vice-presidential candidate, as she is now vying for, the pairing will fulfill the promise of what has been called the "Dream Ticket."

Many people are excited by the possibility of a black man/white woman ticket, also history in the making.

We will see in November elections if old school or new school makes the grade.

Arizona Sen. John McCain, the Republican sparring partner for the 2008 seat for the head of the nation, stands for very different agendas and ideologies as the Democrats. He is known for his pro-Bush, pro-war sympathies. The Dems are opposed to it.

Big doings for big times.

And as Obama was quoted in the dailies, "America, this is our moment. This is our time. Our time to turn the page on the policies of the past."

We shall see.

With his old pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright hovering in the wings, Obama has some fancy dancing to do around such brutal honesty of opinion.

Sad ending to fire on Hickory Street

KEARNY – Sandra Yankowsky, 65, passed away this afternoon at 2 p.m. from injuries during a

small fire in two-family home at 468 Hickory St. on June 2. She had been in critical condition at Clara Maass Hosptial in Belleville.

Yankowsky was overcome by smoke after she called Life Alert on Monday, an alarm system that provides emergency home protection. The company alerted Kearny police and fire departments about the fire at 4:17 a.m. on Monday. The fire was put down within 10 minutes, said Fire Chief Steven Dyl.

Yankowsky lived in the first floor apartment by herself. When first responders arrived she was unconscious from smoke inhalation and had no pulse, said Dyl.

Kearny emergency medical services administered CPR but the woman did not respond. The woman has regained a pulse and is currently on a respirator in critical condition at the Belleville hospital.

Soon-to-be-Chief Fire Inspector Chuck Kerr said the cause of the one-alarm fire is still under investigation.

I would say that the very FIRST LINE of her article answered your question quite clearly. I'm no fan of the Observer..i've called it "Pravda" for years because it's nothing more than a mouthpiece at times for the politicians...however Celeste is HEADS Above their former "Editor". At least Celeste hasnt ever parsed quotes or gottem them completely wrong like Canessa did, then gone on to whine for months about how KPD wouldnt talk to him.

I would say that the very FIRST LINE of her article answered your question quite clearly.
