Harrison1 Posted January 29, 2007 Report Share Posted January 29, 2007 I am in total shock while riding in Harrison this morning, while commuting into the town for work, Every major road and even North Arlington and Kearny was cleared of the minor snowfall and ice while in Harrison the streets where not touched at all and it's almost 8AM. Someone should be held accountable for this many of the streets are sheets of ice. Now I don't want to get into the Tanski thing all over again but we all have to admit at least the streets where cleared no matter if it was a minor or major snowfall. To the Mayor and the council have never complained on any BB on this great town, but where are we going to draw the line now that safety is on the line. Harrison1 Posted January 30, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 30, 2007 My point was since Tanski left the department has gone down hill, thieve or not This Cat man guy doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground when it come to running a Public Works department. The greenery is what did it. I think, the only nice tree lined street we have left is davis ave. I know I would rather pick up leaves than garbage everyday. And as far as the garbage being picked up, I know for fact that when the sweeper and the mad vac go by, there is only 1 person who goes out of his way to actually pick everything up he poss. can, even if it means getting up out of the vac to do it by hand. He knows who he is cuz I tell him all the time Thank-you to his face. I may not think too highly of this person on a personal level, but as a town employee, we need to have more like him. And the sad part about it is, I dont think he was even raised here in town. They should all have the same work ethic as he does.
