John Kerry is a bitter, angry person who has never gotten over losing the election. His anti-military retoric will hurt the defeatocrats next week. Already some defeatocrat candidates have cancelled Kerry from speaking at their bases.

For once by god I have to partially agree with Patriot. It was a poor choice of words but after I heard it several times I understand that its sometimes better to leave comedy to the comedians. However, it would be to the oppositions advantage to let it go. The more they talk about it the more the Iraq debacle stays in the news. However, I don't think anyone is asking themsdelves your question especially since he isn't running for anything.

You are right, but where are all the recruiting stations- in low income areas - where most of the kids are lucky to graduate high school - cannot locate jobs - and the military makes it seem glamourous to join - but these are most of the young men and woman that are in Iraq - so Kerry was correct but didn't state it so well - he just wanted people to know that the young men and woman are being taken advantage of because they can't get jobs so they do wind up in the military - =and go to Iraq- this is another Vietnam - another conflict that we cannot win because the people there really don't want us. So remember the guys that came back from Vietnam we have to learn from our mistakes - not make the same ones over and over again!!!!! Bin Ladan was not in Iraq - he was in Afganistan - and we still haven't gotten him - I am so sorry for all those men and women who lost their lives in Iraq - but remember there are many other soliders who have come back and maybe they didn't lose their lives but they have been injured beyond belief - so forgive me if I can't get to upset with Kerry's remark - he just didn't say it correctly -

Unfortunately for you, EVERY US president is elected by the Electoral College. The founding Fathers made the correct decision when they wrote that into the constitution..otherwise, NYC, LA, Detroit, and the other big cities would decide who the president is every 4 years.

The Really REALLY amusing thing, is that during the runup to the 2000, election, when Gore was convinced that he would Lose the popular vote, but thought he'd squeak by on electoral districts, he was waxing philosophical about how wise the Founding Fathers were in choosing the Electoral system over the popular vote...Less than 8 weeks later his opinion had reversed itself..imagine that.
