The Observer today:

HARRISON – Plans are moving along right on schedule for the completion of the new Harrison High School and recreation field, redevelopment officials said last week.
I guess Peter Higgins and the Mayor felt like they had to respond to Michael Fernandez's comments at the last town meeting. LOL :P
The construction of two football-sized fields at the site are almost complete, and the town will have control of them within the next two or three weeks, Peter Higgins, chairman of the Harrison Redevelopment Agency said.
For those who don't know, that new school has nothing to do with the re-developmentIt's not in the re-development zone!!
“Besides a few minor weather delays over the winter, everything is coming along, right on schedule,” Higgins said.
TRY CONTAMINATION, BECAUSE THE WEATHER DIDN'T HOLD BACK THE NEW CONDOS!!
The athletic field will provide space for all school sports, as well as town recreation events. Between the large string of bleachers that border Schuyler Avenue,  and two baseball/softball fields, lies an immaculate football field with a massive scoreboard that reads “Harrison High School” in blue-and-white lettering. The field will be taking over most of the activity that goes on at Kennedy Stadium and will be used as the municipality’s main field.

In the first initial phase of construction there were minor set backs, due to unknown soil conditions, but the problem was cleared up quickly, according to Higgins.

AND LIKE MICHAEL FERNANDEZ STATED, THE COST: HARRISONIANS RECREATIONAL SPACE FOR ONE YEAR
The first phase of construction for the $70 million project, which was primarily funded by the NJ Construction Corp., began in December 2003 on the field. The high school construction began in January of 2005 and is scheduled to be completed by March of 2007 and open to students by September of that year.
Then thats when the developers should have started. POOR POOR JOB PETE> YOU SHOULD RESIGN LIKE MICHAEL FERNANDEZ SAID
The new high school will provide students with “state-of-the-art” equipment, technology and classrooms. Additional math, science and technology labs will be part of the new project and the building will accommodate an additional 300 students, compared to the old high school building on Harrison Avenue. Tarps were placed over the high school construction sites during the winter months so construction would not be halted.

“We are really looking forward to getting into this new facility and adding more programs to enhance and provide the best education for the students in the district,” said Anthony Comprelli, superintendent of Harrison Schools earlier this year. “This is a real highlight for the history of the town.”

Anthony, does this mean no more trailors?>
