If the Town Of Kearny has an agreement with the NAACP about only hireing

from Hudson And Essex countys, How did this Jerry Kerr get hired, Being from Bergen? He has a three year contract with the town.

And he goes to Bergen College at the tax payers expense.

There is something wrong in the Town hall to let this happen.

Many qualifyed people live in Bergen County, And can not get employement

in Kearny, Due to the fact they live in other countys outside Hudson and Essex.

And Jerry Kerr's job is Civil Service, How did this happen? Santos and Doyle!

For your information the Lawsuit settlement specified NOT Hudson/Bergen (Or do you mean Essex since THAT would make much more sense to the NAACP  ) KEarny may hire from Anywhere in Hudson County or Essex County, OR any other person that lives within a 15-mile radius of the Town of Kearny. So, in other words, Someone who lives in Bergen, Passaic, Union, Essex, Hudson, and possibly the upper reaches of Middlesex Counties can qualify under the residency requirements to be hired. Of course THAT is for Police and Fire, for Administrators and Department heads, I dont believe they are limited to that.

How did Jerry Kerr get hired. Well lets see he was getting in trouble at his last job. So where does he go, to Kearny of coarse. Nobody else would hire him so why not us. We need to save money. I wonder if we did or will, in the long run ? He needs to go to school to learn what he did wrong on his last job.

I would check your facts, i know of several officers hired by the PD within the last 10 years that did NOT live in either Hudson or Essex counties. It is ALL of Hudson and essex, and anywhere else within 15 miles.
