If Doran doesn’t run for Mayor in ’06, he shouldn’t run for council. Let way for Danny or Mikey. 2006 is a ‘Make or Break’ for Doran. Do you really think if Doran gets elected mayor anything will change ?? Get freakin' real. They ALL VOTED for the stadium, they all vote together like they're joined at the hip. They can't think for themselves. Pull the string and all their heads bob up and down. Unless a newcomer with brains and integrity steps forward to run for mayor, nothing will change. If that doesn't happen, then it will only be more of the same politics, no matter if it's McDonough, Doran or any other councilman who becomes mayor. No one in this administration will open up the council meetings or start involving the taxpayers in financial decisions. If the taxpayers are satisfied with "taxation without representation" then enjoy paying off the $40,000,000 debt that you don't want and didn't ask for. It will mean 4 more years of politics as usual; closed council meetings, taxes that continue to spiral upward, spending taxpayer money like drunken sailors and NO INPUT BY HARRISON TAXPAYERS. The voters of Harrison should boycott the election if the mayor runs unopposed. Of course the party faithful will vote for him but wouldn't it send a powerful message if less than 100 people voted for him and his band of puppets.
