Guest Concerned
The St. Barnabas Health care system has decided to cease involvement in paramedic units. The system recently gave away EMTAC and all of its paramedic units to MONOC from Ocean county.
Guest King of Paramedics
So what? Paramedics are better off. St. Barnabas never really cared for the MICUs. At least MONOC is purely (or mainly) an Emergency Medical Services operation, where St. Barnabas is an entire "medical system". Paramedics will still continue to serve the same areas just the same as before. There will be no significant change other than perhaps a little more money in their paychecks and a new patch. We'll see how it all plays out.
