Guest Me
I got this from a rail related web site. LOWER BOONTON LINE MEETING WITH N.J. COMMISSIONER OF TRANSPORTATION: This morning New York & Greenwood Lake Railway President James Wilson had a meeting with Jack Lettiere, NJ Commissioner of Transportation. Also in attendance at the meeting was Deputy Attorney General, Dale Lessne and our attorney, John Fiorilla. The meeting was about New York & Greenwood Lake Railway's petition, filed with the DOT in September 2002 , to run passenger service on the Lower Boonton Line. The Commissioner wishes to move forward with the application process. The attorneys discussed additional information required by the DOT to consider our petition as well as updating our original business plan. The Deputy Attorney General will followup with a letter outlining the specific items required by the DOT. The NY&GL is pleased that Commissioner Lettiere is getting this off the backburner. (NY&GL - posted 4/07) Lets hope this brings back the rail service to our town.
