Guest resident Posted April 4, 2004 Report Share Posted April 4, 2004 I would like to see more cops walking the beat and getting to know the citizens of hispanic heritage, or "spi*s" and "garbage" as we are referred to as by the police. Maybe if they talked to us instead of just riding by giving us dirty looks that would change the way they feel. With the price of gas skyrocketing, the walking cops of all ranks(why can't a Sargeant, Lieutenent or Captain walk and meet the people also) would be great. seeing a person of rank do the various traffic assignments would also be nice I hope the mayor reads this and considers the idea.
