Guest Guest Report post Posted January 23 Where is our Senator Sacco on the Keegan Landfill? Is he fighting for us? Look at article regarding Senator Gopal fighting for our constituents. Sacco is very friendly with Mayor Santos but has not said a word to date on Keegan Landfill.

Guest Garbage Report post Posted January 25 The government moves very slowly unless the issue is something that immediately requires a reaction. They have huge lists of things to consider every week. Please don't stop at your mayor. Call your senator and state representation, the EPA, and the Stench hot-line. On the Kearny Facebook people have posted stating that they are detecting the smell even on the Arlington side of town.
Guest EPA Reporter Report post Posted January 26 Now we know why Senator Sacco is quiet on the Keegan Landfill. He's sending his shit down to Kearny so he doesn't have to smell it and breath in the toxic mix in the air. https://www.nj.com/hudson/2019/01/kearny-mayor-says-illegal-sewage-was-dumped-at-town-landfill-run-by-state-agency.html Construction debri isn't toxic sludge from a Sewerage Plant. There are also toxic sludge from Passaic Valley Sewerage Authority and the Spectraserv plant in South Kearny. Are they too dumping in Keegan. Time to put up high resolution cameras all along Keegan landfill to catch what is going in and then checking the logs and turning over evidence to the DEP. Wasn't always friendly when he was challenging him for Senator early in his career

Guest Keegan Jr. Report post Posted February 1 Looks like Mayor Santos finally got some balls. He found a video of dumping of raw sewer from North Bergen Sewerage Authority being dumped during one of the State inspections of the site and now the media has picked up the story. Let's hope he continues the momentum built up so that the only thing that will be dumped at Keegan is construction debri only. That's bad enough. The place should be closed and nothing dumped there. Let's get the developers who have built up the street to donate resources to the politicans in Trenton to close this environmental disaster of a dump that should not have been reopened. He's the one who allowed the dump to open in the first place.
