Minority Hires KPD vs. KFD

Kudos to the Kearny Police Department for their aggressive hiring of women and minorities. Shame on the Kearny Fire Department for doing the exact opposite. The job of a Police Officer is much more highly skilled and demanding than a soft part-time Firefighter "job" is on its worst day. Police face substantial danger and civil liability. The Harrison & Kearny Firebabies face neither. Yet, the HFD &  KFD still cannot find room for minority candidates. Why not? The FD is nothing more than a publicity seeking majority  bunch of white males who keep these high paying, part time, safe jobs for their white privilege friends and family members. The career politicians appear to encourage this designed play. The KFD & HFD could easily be disbanded in favor of volunteers and the tens of millions could be spent to reorganize and improve the failing school systems. REFORM IS NEEDED NOW! VOTE THE BUMS OUT!!

       Barney , You must be a joy to work with, crying on the shoulder of everyone near you.  You weren't good enough for the FD, get over it.

First off both departments in Kearny... PD and FD have a good mix of female and minorities... Second off, learn how civil service works... You can't just hire whoever you want!!

A "good mix" of minorities and females seems to mean having less than a handful on staff in case civil rights groups start taking a look. Harrison, I believe, has NO FEMALE Firefighters and less than 5 non-white male Firefighters. Kearny is 3X the size but I believe has the same ratio. THAT IS NOT DIVERSITY! Civil service seems to be capable of steering friends & relatives of politically connected people like mommy & daddy onto the towns payroll. This ensures that D**ba** Jr. hits the FF lottery and gets out of mom & dad's basement. Civil Service can surely steer minority candidates to towns that appear discriminatory by factual data. 80% to 90% white male privileged superiority is NOT DIVERSITY. The day if reckoning is coming as the voter population ethnicity is sick of this injustice. NO DIVERSITY, NO PEACE! Harrison & Kearny should recognize this obvious intended or unintended racism and hire more minorities. The most prudent decision would be to disband the FD'S in favor of volunteers and put those tens of millions of wasted dollars into the children's futures.

    Barney, Here's an idea. Make a big poster that states the need for more diversity in the FD. and walk back and forth in front of  FD Hdqtrs. Since you feel so strongly about this issue, show everyone who you are.  Word of advice, don't wear your PD uniform, your chief won't like it.

Wow, it really DOES Unhinge you that KPD and KFD get along doesnt it???  Go Back to Harrison, or get your meds adjusted Kearny Senile...you're showing your A$$
