.Absorb the current Harrison FF's into the KFD, with Harrison paying Kearny the annual costs of those men.   Station one Engine Co. staffed by 1 Captain and 3 FF in Harrison, 24/7.  ( Most fires can be handled by one engine staffed with 4 FF's). After size up by the responding Captain, mutual aid from Kearny would be ready to respond.

Sounds like a decent idea! But aren't there 2 firehouses in town? There should be another firehouse constructed  by the new developments on Frank E Rodgers blvd. To make the number of staffed firehouse in Harrison 3. Paid for of course by the developers. Then  staff that firehouse with how many Captains 2 , how many firefighters 6? There's going to come a day when residents of those developments question why they don't have their own fire dept and police station for that matter.Would the Guest Fire Service expert comment on my statement and maybe add their expertise.

The Harrison Firefighters are jumping ship as 10% to 15% have already transferred to other Fire Depts and many others are actively looking to leave. I'm shocked that any municipality would take the untrained and inexperienced Harrison heroes but other Fire Depts. like Hoboken and shore town FD's are also no work jobs. The DCA is not going to allow new hires to replace the turncoats who show no loyalty to the Harrison residents. It has always been about one thing with the Harrison Firefighters: MONEY/GREED. Newark will be taking over in a year or two so the Harrison taxpayers will finally get the diversity of African American, Hispanic, female and Muslim Firefighters. The progressive liberals running the town must be salivating in anticipation.
