For the past few years I've tried to get to the Pathmark parking lot to watch the fireworks (as I've done for years) but Passaic Ave. is being closed earlier and earlier. The past 2 years I had to turn around and drive home as there was absolutely no where to park. And I had friends who were watching from the Pathmark lot and they said there was plenty of room so it wasn't because it was full. Guest Guest Posted July 3, 2015 Report Share Posted July 3, 2015 There isnt a set time to close the Roadway, because they try to keep it open as long as possible. They only shut Traffic down on Passaic once it gets dark enough to start the fireworks. Go earlier, enjoy the Music, and THEN watch the fireworks..and you wont have to be rushing to try and sneak in before the road closing.
