If the state allows East Newark to move their HS students to Kearny High, does that mean we can stop all the services we provide to EN? No more EN kids in our youth sports programs? No more our DPW cleaning their streets and doing snow removal? If they're not contributing to the town anymore in any way, they should not be allowed to benefit from it.

Kudos to the residents of East Newark ! Why would you pay over 24.000 to educate a child in Harrison . When you can get a better education in Kearny cheaper. Its so high in Harrison is because they make new jobs for politically connected people . Why should East Newark pay for that abuse !

They certainly don't have to pay if they don't want to. And if Kearny is welcoming them, then good for them. I do agree, though, that if they go, EN residents of all ages should not be able to participate in any of the Harrison programs they've been graciously allowed to all these years.

sooner or later people considering buying a home in Harrison will become aware of this and home values in Harrison will decline.

What the f--- are you saying? Home values are going way up in Harrison!
