Those are scandals? Really? As compared to the President's Daily Briefing Memo one month before September 11, 2001 that was entitled, "Bin Laden determined to attack United States".

You are a disgrace. You've been after Obama since long before he decided to run for president. You said he wouldn't succeed in winning election. You were wrong.

Over and over you call him vile names, with no apparent regard for the majority of your fellow citizens who elected him not once but twice. We made that choice not because he was perfect or messianic but because he was preferable to the alternatives.

Then you said he was in over his head and couldn't manage our foreign policy. Yet here we are in his second term, strong in the world and we haven't been attacked on American soil since he took office. As you used to say about Bush (even though it wasn't true of Bush), Obama has kept us safe. Obviously, none of that matters to you. The facts never do, it seems.

Then you said he would bring our economy to a grinding halt. Bush and Clinton did that with deregulation. (See, I criticize Democrats too.) Obama is still trying to dig out of the biggest economic mess since the Great Depression. That's not just a slogan, it's an historical reality. FDR didn't get us out of that until World War II began, when the federal government began spending vast amounts of money - for that time - creating jobs. We could end the economic slump very easily but Republicans refuse to vote for another dollar to boost the economy, even though we have crying needs for infrastructure. They're so radical and so oriented to party (as opposed to putting the country first) that they won't even consider legislation if they think President Obama might get credit for it. Now that is a disgrace.

All you do is babble right wing talking points that you're spoon-fed from Fox and Limbaugh. Do you really think we don't know where you're getting that stuff? And you're too stupid to recognize propaganda when you see it. I'll give Ailes and Limbaugh credit for knowing how to manipulate ill-informed people like you. But you have no business calling yourself "Patriot" if you're not going to engage in a reasoned discussion, taking into account all the facts, and competing points of view. That is why my opening comment, "You are a disgrace" isn't just a set of empty words. Tragically, it's true.

And don't flatter yourself imagining that I spent this time trying to get through to you. Most of the people here, few as they may, are reasonable, capable of seeing opposing sides on these points, and willing to learn something from the new information that is being presented to us daily. They're the ones I'd like to see engage in this discussion.
