Add "Abound Energy" to the list of "green energy" companies declaring bankruptcy and flushing the $400,000,000. given by zerO.

Did everyone see former president Clinton blasting zerO for not approving the Keystone pipeline?? It's interesting the way democrats, when out of office and stop drinking Kool-Aid begin to think clearly.

Guest Calling You Out

, said Patriot, the intellectually depthless and incessantly carping poster on this board who spends every breathing moment repeating Tea Party talking points while refusing to tell us whether he's supporting Willard ("Mitt") Romney or Newton Leroy ("Newt") Gingrich for President. Yes, that is their real names.

You ignore the success of the Obama Administration's reorganization of GM or the TARP II program (almost all of which has been repaid) which preserved thousands of jobs. Yet you keep harping on relatively miniscule amounts that have not had the resounding success of GM and TARP II. By the way, here are the actual facts on Abound Energy:

The solar shakeout continues as Abound Solar, a Colorado startup that aimed to take on industry leader First Solar with a $400 million federal loan guarantee to build photovoltaic panel factories, halts production and lays off 180 workers. Abound, which has drawn down $70 million of the loan guarantee, said in a statement it would focus on developing a more efficient version of its cadmium telluride thin-film photovoltaic panel, putting on hold plans to build a new 781,000-square-foot factory in Tipton, Ind. The layoffs were first reported by Dow Jones Newswires.

“While this is a difficult move with regards to temporarily reducing our workforce, we know that accelerating the introduction of our next generation module will bring significant benefits to our customers and allow us to create even more jobs in the future,” Craig Witsoe, Abound’s chief executive, said in the statement posted to the company’s website. “Abound Solar still has long-term plans for a Tipton, Ind., manufacturing facility once production of its next-generation modules begins,” the company stated. “The company anticipates having an update on a Tipton facility build-out in mid-2013.”

You are a very stupid and short-sighted person. We desperately need green technologies to end our addiction to oil. We're throwing away trillions (*,000,000,000,000) and you're whining about millions (*,000,000). Even if some companies fail, investment in green technologies is essential to our future.

You are also a liar. Abound Energy has not declared bankruptcy. It is retooling a plant to make a more competitive product.
