Guest Patriot
zerO is now claiming credit for passing the budget. After failing to pass a budget when the dems controlled both houses, after fighting the GOP tooth and nail over the cuts, after vowing to veto the bill that would continue to pay the troops, he is now praising the dems for their "efforts on behalf of all Americans". Everyone should remember zerO's promise to veto the bill that would continue to pay the troops is the budget wasn't passed. This guy is a disgrace and needs to be shipped back to Chicago. Guest Proud American
zerO is now claiming credit for passing the budget. Looks like President Obama won the budget battle. He split and conquered the Republicans in the House. The Republicans never offered a real alternative, as the Republican plan exempted Medicare, Social Security and the military, which are the bulk of the budget (not counting servicing the interest and principal the debt). Rand Paul, Michelle Bachman and the far right were left hanging in the wind. Obama is doing better with a split Congress than with all Democrats. Right now there is no leader on the Republican side who poses a threat to Obama as President. Boehner caved on the budget. The Republican presidential wannabes are all over the lot on this, just like on Libya and Egypt. Bachman and Paul are not accepted by their own party. As a Democrat, this gives me great comfort. Hey, maybe Bachman can do another televised response to the President that's not approved by the Republican Party at the very same time that the Republican-approved response is being aired? That was really great.
