Did anyone read The Observer article yet? Nice job by our local paper, this is what we need. The thing that struck me most was Digesere sounds most like a politician. It does not come across that he cares about our students one bit. He is more concerned about covering his own a$$. Is this what we get for all that money? Kearny needs a serious re-organization of it's Administration, starting wiith the central offices at the BOE and definitely into the High School. It will start with these elections. Please, make sure u get out and vote; also vote down the budget so we can stop this excessive spending

This article explains a lot, and it is good people are starting to see the real inner workings of this deceitful Board of Education. The real shame is how many kids these people have hurt, and how the School system has become a joke.

The school budget hearing is next Thursday, April 1, at Lincoln School. It's over $70 million in spending. Do you think the Observer will:

a) just print the superintendent's spin?

get a copy of the budget, read it, ask questions and publish an analysis?

c) do a one paragraph blurb and call that a story?

d) fill their space by copying and pasting a Congressman's rant against health care reforms?

Not in a million years does anyone at the Observer have the ability to do an analysis of a budget. The answer is ©, one paragraph with the bare minimum of information disguised as a story. Then there'll be some inane editorial page about alternative herbal medicine from the publisher and some more of the bizarre Republican diatribes against health care legislation that are lifted verbatim by the Observer's "writer" from the Congressional Record.

I know it's a strange operation, but shouldn't there be one Tin Man and one Lion at the Observer? Three Scarecrows is downright scary.

On the published budget, DiGesere salary is $195,000 a year plus car allowance. This is just year 1 of the contract.

The answer was: The BOE did not discuss a middle school. The superintendent did ask for approval on redistricting because of the unbalanced number of students at individual schools. Miss Donna and Mr. Digerese obviously have had a previous conversation that didn't go well. Mr. Digeresre did say that with the condition of the state, there isn't any money, and the only people who would suffer from not having a middle school would be the students because in 2014 the state standards are set to change.

That`s a lie, the BOE was talking middle school for the last 4 months. Yes, redistricting is definitely needed in our town.MISS DONNA DOES NOT LIE ,ASK ANYONE WHO KNOWS HER. MR.
