There are so many students going to public schools that do not live in Kearny and live in illegal apartements. The citizens of Kearny pay very high taxes which more than 50 % goes to schools. Each year taxes go up for schools to cover the education costs, but we are paying for kids that do not belong in the public school system. People are paying taxes for 1 family houses, but have illegal 2 family houses which have kids from both families going to school. this is not fair and the BOE should fix this problem ASAP. THE BOE SHOULD CHECK STUDENT RESIDENCY EACH YEAR TO VERIFY THAT THAT THE STUDENT DOES LIVE IN KEARNY! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Our schools get money from the state, and the more students they have the more money they get. It's a game. Which brings to mind, what are they doing with all the money they get? Education is a pork barrel. One more thing, lets keep knocking down One family homes and building two and three family homes! This only adds to the stress on the school system. Wake up,start thinking. Don't just look at your tax bill and start yelling. Stop watching the sit coms and go to BOE meetings and council meetings,ask questions, Just wake up.
