I spoke to Vic Losick today to give him some information he had requested. Has any of you contacted him? He didn't mention it.

Is he the filmmaker? I didn't see his contact information. Also, would be interested to know who is funding the film.

He is the film-maker, and he is funding it. It's his project.

:(  i sent him my ph# and a note saying what i wanted still no word! :(

I spoke with Vic today. E-mail him again. Like everyone, he gets a lot of spam, so if you didn't title your message so he would recognize it, he may have deleted it. Just put "Kearny film project" or "Kearny" in your title line. If that doesn't work, let me know.

Nope, fallacious appeal to the majority.

Incorrect (explanation to follow).

Though the fact that you'd even try to argue that "lots of people think X so X must be right" says a lot about your tendencies.

That's not what he said.

He said that the majority view might be an indication that the view is correct. That makes it an inductive argument, and appeal to the majority is not fallacious in terms of an inductive argument. The argument might be weak, but it is not fallacious.

On the other hand, we do have another example of Strife committing the straw man fallacy.
