  1. Geez! Give it a rest!
  2. Everyday there seem to be just a little more momentum in favor of impeachment for either Bush or Cheney. I can only hope this momentum keeps building. Actually it's a little disurbing that it has taken this long. Unfortunately, public humilation for those involved is hardly just punishment for the mess we now enjoy. If and when the ongoing investigations reveal some of the profoundly serious lawbreaking alleged by this admistration then they should be sent to prison for a very long time. Not just because it would be deserved, but also to show future administrations that this type of behavior shall be dealt with severely.
  3. That's Bullshit and you know it! It was a violation of separation of Church and state and they got busted, end of story. S**K it up and move on.
  4. Bryan, How often do you have to replace your keyboard? Please tell me, no, tell us all how things would be if you made all the rules. I look forward to your reading your undoubtedly smug response.

  6. Lemme get this straight. We're supposed fear God and Satan? Hmmm.......
  7. Wow Patriot, I must say that I am impressed. Everytime I think that you couldn't possibly be more snide, childish and just plain mean you manage to surprise me. I suspect however that you would'nt have the guts to say these things to a persons face. Maybe you should let you 2 year-old post for you as I'm sure that they would show a greater level of maturity.
  8. Very well said indeed! It reminds me of a great movie I watched last night "Inherit the Wind".
  9. Maybe it's time the Christians get a dose of thier own medicine.
  10. Yes, why would God create imperfect beings and then punish them for thier imperfections? Is that just? It's like if I buy an ant farm, open the lid and then crush the ants that crawl out. It's a perfectly predicable behavior yet I will punish them none the less. Makes sense to me.
  11. As far as flag burning goes look at it this way. I have never done it, no one I know has done it or plans to do it. I would do it however as a protest if they did in fact make it illegal. Why? Because if I burn a flag, I merely destroy a symbol but I did not destroy what it stands for. The minute that burning a flag is made illegal however, we have managed to destroy what the flag actually stands for which is far worse than the destruction of the symbol itself.
  12. Spoken like a true "Pathetic Creature"
  13. It still doesn't mean that Mr. "P" didn't screw up.

    The ACLU

Patriot, You failed to answer an earlier request that I made of you so I'll ask again. What would the world be like if you made the rules? What would society be like if you were in charge?
  16. N.Y. Teacher Fights Modern-Day 'Witch Trial' Woman Says She Was Fired Because Principal Said She Practiced Witchcraft Featured Slideshow: Celebrity Real Names Revealed Featured Slideshow: Openly Gay Celebrities Image Reid Lamberty Reporting (CBS) HAMPTON BAYS, N.Y. A Long Island elementary school teacher is suing the Hampton Bays school district after she was fired because her administrators allegedly believed she was a witch teaching witchcraft to her students. Her lawyer is calling the case a "21st century re-enactment of the Salem Witchcraft Trials." Lauren Berrios told CBS 2 that she was terminated after she was told that she "entice[d] children into witchcraft and magic through literature." Berrios, who was born a Catholic before converting to Judaism, said she was fired in 2001 after being falsely accused of being a witch, which is now the basis of her $2 million lawsuit. Her attorney, John Ray, says she was the victim of a public school district trying to push Christian values. "There's unquestionably in this matter a question of church and state being not separated, but being brought together by born-again Christians in this school," Ray said. A school spokesperson says Berrios' claim lacks merit, but in 2003 the school's principal at the time testified he believed that Berrios practiced witchcraft. "Every school that I go to interview in I have to disclose to them that I was denied tenure for enticing children into witchcraft and magic," Berrios says. Even before she was fired, Berrios says her principal removed books from her classroom, including the popular series "Goosebumps," as well as "Harry Potter." She believes books that didn't mesh with principal's religious values, even including African-American literature, were taken out of her curriculum. Ray admits that Berrios' appearance didn't help her cause either, especially when she was teaching her students about the Salem witch trials. "Mrs. Berrios has long fingernails, wears dark make-up, wears black," he said. Berrios' very own modern-day witch trial will likely draw to a close this week. The case will be decided by a federal jury beginning Wednesday. (© MMVII, CBS Broadcasting Inc. All Rights Reserved.) http://wcbstv.com/topstories/local_story_065160805.html

  18. Really? I thought he just wanted him to admit his mistake, apologize and promise not to do it again. Then everyone could move on. Why hasn't Mr.P done this?

    More ACLU outrages

Well, considering today's hysteria and absurd laws regarding Marijuana I would say that it's not as far removed as on might think.
