I'm trying to be fair here, and I don't wish to be a pain in the ass except to those who are being a pain in mine. And as you may have figured out by now, I'm not the kind of person who just goes away because someone doesn't like me or what I do. Give me a good explanation how I'm disrupting your use of this board in a way that you can't fix by putting me on ignore. I promise to give it serious consideration if you have a real reason, but I don't see how you could, especially given my experience ignoring Bryan recently. It really does make the problem go away. Why wouldn't it work for you?
Because many of the long-time posters on this board have been driven away, myself included, by how this site has become totally dominated by one subject and the tangent threads it has produced.

If I understand you correctly you are looking for three things:
1. Disciplinary action against Dave P.
2. Correction of the scientific errors made by Dave P.
3. An apology from Dave P.
For #1, the BOE has stated that they have taken action against Dave P. However, by law, based on the union's contract, they are not allowed to publicly discuss the type of or severity of disciplinary action unless the teacher grants them permission.
Is your threat of a lawsuit because you do not believe them? Or just to discover through the court proceding what the action was?
For #2, as previously stated, the district does provide a cirriculum teaching the science that you agree with. Dave P. is not qualified to make the corrections that you are requesting, so other than the current science cirriculum, what more do you want?
For #3, a personnel apology from Dave P. is not within the control of the BOE. They cannot force him to do that. What do you want a lawsuit against the BOE to accomplish in this regard?

Sorry Joe, but, even though the OP is a little offputting on this particular subject, and I agree, that Kenny deserves better, it IS an issue whe we're talking about the consistant innacuracies in articles by that particular author. Considering the numbers of shootings in Jersey City, Union City, West New York, Ext, does anyone REALLY think that the HC PRosecutor would refer to West Hudson as the "Killing Fields" of Hudson County?????? That author is constantly whining on this board and others about KPD's chief never wanting to talk to him...perhaps it's because no matter WHAT he is told, it will be misquoted, or contextually altered???
I disagree. This article was not the one to take up this issue. If he is as bad as you say, wait for the next article. One that is not a tribute to a good man.
I'll ask again. Webmaster please remove this thread or explain why you will not.

Who wrote the observer article on the Kearny FF K. Kaufman who passed away on Thanksgiving Day, and where did they get their information naming two members of the fire dept. as his best friends. Let me just say that before printing an article you must check your resorces for more accurate information. The people most important to Kenny were barely mentioned, his family and the FD members who were his friends, and worked soo hard to protect his rights did so without recognition.

You are doing a diservice to Kenny's memory by posting this. Contact the author directly if you have an issue with the article. There is no need to do this publically.

Stop being so dopey. You know damn well a signing in with a screen name has nothing to do with accountability. Unless everyone knows who that person is, like with your screen name. Then of course you watch every word you write.
I guess I do have to explain this to you. You seemed a little smarter than that, but here we go.
To register a screen name you have to provide an e-mail address. Doing so allows the webmaster to contact you privately for various reasons, including misbehaving on their message board.
If you don't consider that to be an increase in accountability, like I said, you are hopeless.
And I'm not Dopey. More like Grumpy.

Someone I work with said he called the Police Dept. and they said the fireworks were still on until further notice. That was at 2:00pm. He gathered all of his grandchildren and waited with alot of other people, I can not even come close to how pissed he is. I would be too. I cannot go tonight, so my children are going to miss out. What is going on with Kearny? Have they lost the spirit or is it that there is not enough Americans left? It makes me so angry, this town is nothing what it used to be. Where are the Americans?
Did he call the KPD? All departments (KPD, KFD & DPW) were aware of the decision to postpone at approximately 11:00am. I spoke with a KPD member that worked the desk and all callers after that time were advised they were postponed.
What is very frustrating is that this info shold have been posted on the town website as the first course of action.

What happened? No more bonding questions?
OK, I'll ask one. Now that the Board of Education has climbed aboard the bonding bandwagon, how many people think that the school bond will pay for the stadium wall that crumbled on Davis Ave? I'll admit it. I thought the bond was to be used to pay for the wall, but it's not.
Since the Board of Ed made the decision to not include the wall in the bond they should have money for it elsewhere in the budget. But do they? Is there an extra $750,000 in the budget to fix the wall? I'm not so sure. If there is why hasn't anything happened yet with this project?
Even I would have supported the notion that bonding is a proper financing vehicle to fix the wall. The improvements will last much longer than 5 years (unlike the shirts and pants the Town bonded for). And a Bond Anticipation Note could be used to get the BOE money for the wall immediately while preparing for a bond sale. Instead the wall stays down. Is there money for this project or not?
Stay tuned. I feel another bond coming! We haven't maxed out our credit cards yet.

At the last BOE meeting a bid was accepted for the wall project. Don't recall the specifics, but if you had called Les before posting, you would have had your answer. But that didn't fit your needs now did it?

If that's what it takes, then yes we should do away with those things as well. We are in America and should celebrate that. I do not think that Councilman Paglia should be allowed to vote on the subject. He is selling his house and moving out of town. Dont get me wrong, i like him. I just feel that since he is moving out of town he should step down.

Give it a try.Really, this type of message board has some great features, such as the avatar (that's the little picture like KOTW has on his/her posts), private messaging (you can send email type message to other registered members), post preview and post editing (you can edit your mistakes even after the post is sent).
Give it a chance and you will like it.
